Creating unique characters inspired by a mix of games, animations, and personal creativity is always a fun and fulfilling experience. When I designed these characters, I drew inspiration from different sources such as 'Azure Past,' a lore-heavy series, and 'Bluey,' a beloved animated show. Incorporating elements like the Hungry Caterpillar or Witch Sheep from 'Pumpkin Rabbit' helped me explore various art styles and storytelling techniques. One thing I've learned through this process is the importance of knowing your references well. For example, 'Azure Past' has a rich backstory which adds depth to the character designs, making them more engaging. Meanwhile, cute or whimsical motifs like those found in 'Pumpkin Rabbit' bring a playful tone. Combining these inspirations lets me create something original while appealing to fans of those works. Sometimes, the source of inspiration can be vague—like guessing something was from 'v12' of a game—but that uncertainty encourages creativity and personal interpretation. I often sketch freely before deciding on final details to maintain a natural flow to the designs. Sharing these pieces with others allows me to get feedback and appreciate different perspectives. Overall, mixing various characters from different media, adding personal touches, and experimenting with style has been a rewarding journey. It's exciting to see how others respond to my creations and it motivates me to keep improving my craft.
