Has this ever happened to you before?

A couple weeks ago, I went out to eat with a friend. After our meal I took our check to the front to pay and the man in front of me asked “Is this your check?” I was caught off guard because he looked like a customer just like me. I was thinking why does he even care? I responded “Yes it is” and he grabbed my receipt from my hand so swiftly I was caught off guard. He then said…

“I’ll pay it for you guys, God Bless you”

I was shook. Right then and there I asked about 20 times “Are you sure?” His random act of kindness blew me away. He said “Not everyday someone does somethin like that right? Enjoy it, and have a nice night.” That stuck with me and made me think about how I can pass along the good kindness.

What would you do if someone did this for you? I think I’m going to do the same for someone else soon.

What I would have done differently

If I were to apply to grad school again, there are a few things Id do differently. I would have been more organized, talked to more grad students, and utilized more of the available resources such as youtube channel. These additions would definitely have made things a bit easier to navigate! # #le
