It’s My 4 Year Micro Wedding Anniversary
We’ve been married for 4 years. Like what?! How?
This one is sort of loaded-we don’t do a big celebration or anything…we save that for our big wedding anniversary in October. Some tests we skip it entirely. For me, it marks a sad occasion. My mum was sick and we got married so that she could be there. And she was. She was so happy. It actually ended up being the last day she was fully lucid so it as you may imagine it is a very bittersweet day for us.
So tonight we will go out to eat at the restaurant that we had our first date at. Have a sweet little night and that will be that. And maybe one day, when it’s a less sad occasion for me, will do it with a little more fanfare.
To celebrate 4 years, here are 4 things I love about my husband:
🤍taking all my ideas and drama and showing up 100%. Helping me, problem solving, financially supporting, encouraging, researching, and just stepping up and being as supportive as a person can possibly be.
🤍The support he provided throughout all the wildness we have been hit with over the years. We’ve pretty much been hit with every huge life change (aside from children) that people go through in their life and we came out of it stronger.
🤍His silly weirdness. We really bring it out in each other.
🤍He goes above & beyond to make sure everything is about us and benefitting us. There have been so many instances, experiences, and even jobs he has passed on because he knew it wouldn’t be good for me or us long term.
