What To Pack For A Day At The Parks
Headed to Disney?
Save for your next visit to the parks!
This is everything I pack for a full day spent at the parks. Some are non-negotiable for me and some are deodorant on the weather, park, and plan for the day!

What’s your must have item when visiting the parks?
Beyond the basic list, I've learned a few extra tricks from countless magical days at Disney parks that I absolutely have to share! It’s one thing to know what to pack, but understanding why these items are non-negotiable can truly transform your experience. First up, let's talk about staying hydrated and fueled. A refillable water bottle is an absolute game-changer. You can fill it up at water fountains or quick-service locations for free, saving you a ton of money and keeping you from feeling sluggish. I also swear by a few packets of Liquid IV or similar electrolyte mixes, especially on those scorching summer days. They really help prevent that afternoon slump. And don't forget snacks! While Disney food is delicious, having your own granola bars, fruit snacks, or even a sandwich can save time and money, plus it's perfect for when you're stuck in a long line. Sun protection is another huge one, and the OCR results emphasized SPF for your face and a spray SPF, which is spot on! I always have a small tube of sunscreen and a hat, but a spray SPF makes reapplication so much easier over makeup or throughout the day. And those cheap sunglasses mentioned in the OCR? Seriously, don't bring your expensive ones! It's so easy for them to fall off during a thrilling ride or get misplaced. I learned that the hard way! Comfort is king when you're walking miles every day. The OCR mentioned waterproof shoes and changing clothes mid-day – brilliant advice! I always opt for waterproof shoes or at least sneakers I don't mind getting soaked on Kali River Rapids or Splash Mountain. And bringing an extra pair of socks to change into after a water ride or a sudden downpour is pure bliss. Trust me, nothing ruins a Disney day faster than soggy feet. For aches and pains, a small pouch with Advil, bandaids, etc. is a lifesaver. And if you're prone to chafing, a chafing stick/cream will be your best friend. For your tech and other essentials, Ziplock bags are surprisingly versatile. I use them to protect my phone on water rides, store wet ponchos, or even keep snacks fresh. And speaking of phones, an extra phone battery or portable charger is a must-have to capture all those magical moments without worrying about your phone dying. I also love bringing a disposable camera for a fun, nostalgic touch. Finally, the "Think Through Your Day" section in the OCR is packed with golden nuggets. The advice about leaving valuable jewelry at home, perhaps even swapping your wedding set for a travel ring, is something I wholeheartedly endorse. Losing something precious amidst the excitement would be heartbreaking. And definitely take your Ears off when on rides! I've seen too many people lose them to the wind. Thinking ahead about these small details makes a huge difference in having a truly worry-free and magical Disney day!
