Benefits of Daily Bone Broth

A new addition to my daily routine is drinking bone broth. I was doing it in the morning but I missed my hit lemon water so I now do it as a sort of mid morning snack before lunch.

I outlined some of the benefits above but it was initially suggested to me as a dietary addition to help me cure a year long bout with tingle acne. It really did help!

I do a low sodium version which took a bit of getting used to (salt makes everything taste better) but now that I am, I don’t remember the taste of the full salt version and it’s fine.

I microwave it for a minute & a half and enjoy. So quick & easy.

*not a doctor or nutritionist, but it was suggested to me by a doctor. As always you should do your own independent research before doing anything every day🤍

... Read moreWhen I first started my bone broth journey, I was really focused on finding a natural way to tackle my persistent fungal acne. What I didn't fully realize then was the incredible ripple effect it would have on my overall skin health, thanks largely to its amazing collagen and amino acid content! You see, our skin relies heavily on collagen for its structure, elasticity, and that youthful plumpness we all desire. As we age, our natural collagen production slows down, leading to fine lines and less firm skin. Drinking bone broth daily is like giving your body a readily available supply of these building blocks. It’s not just about adding collagen from the outside; it’s about supporting your body’s own ability to regenerate and repair skin cells from within. The amino acids, especially glycine, proline, and hydroxyproline, are powerhouse components that play a vital role in skin healing and renewal. I noticed my skin feeling much more supple and hydrated, almost as if it had a new bounce to it! Beyond collagen, the impact on my gut health was a huge factor for my skin. The gelatin in bone broth is fantastic for repairing the gut lining. And if you’ve ever looked into the 'gut-skin axis,' you know a healthy gut often means clearer, calmer skin. For my fungal acne, this was a game-changer. Reducing inflammation internally definitely showed up on my face. My breakouts became less frequent and less severe, which was such a relief after struggling for so long. To really maximize bone broth's benefits for your skin, consistency is key, just like with any healthy habit. I found that making it a daily ritual, even just a quick microwaved cup, made all the difference. Also, try to choose a high-quality, grass-fed bone broth if you can, to ensure you're getting the most nutrients. You can drink it plain like me, or add it to soups, stews, or even blend it into savory smoothies. It’s a versatile addition to your diet that supports your skin's natural glow, aids in joint health, and even helps with muscle recovery, as I've experienced. Don't forget that bone broth works best in conjunction with other healthy skin practices – staying hydrated with plenty of water, getting enough sleep, and maintaining a balanced diet. It's a powerful tool in your wellness arsenal, but it's part of a bigger picture. If you're looking for a natural way to boost your skin's radiance, improve elasticity, and even tackle skin issues like acne, I highly recommend giving daily bone broth a try. My skin, and my gut, have definitely thanked me for it!
