Let’s Explore A Bucket List Hotel: Gaylord Palms
Let’s explore Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center together!
This hotel & convention vey has been on my Orlando hotels bucket list for years! Especially after they renovated their interiors allowing for larger (and livable) enclosures for their animals (both PETA & the AZA have given approval yay!)
We are house hunting in Orlando we have been making quite the tour of Orlando area hotels. On this most recent trip we booked 24 hours at The Gaylord & it did not disappoint. You guys this hotel is massive. FAR FAR more massive than it looks. On our way to our first showing in the AM we actually got lost and couldn’t find our way out. We literally had to call our realtor to tell them we would be late because we were lost.
If that doesn’t tell how big she is, maybe this will: While visiting there was both an Indian wedding (which are notoriously large) AND a dance competition going on at the same time and it still didn’t feel as crowded as some other resorts feel during the summer tourist bonanza.
Here are some amenities:
▪️multiple pools, lazy river, waterpark, and a surf simulator
▪️Market & Starbucks
▪️Multiple restaurants & bars both open late (we checked in at 9:30 pm and were exploring past 11-all still open)
▪️gardens and animal enclosures in lobby
▪️Starbucks, Jamba Juice, and Cold Stone all in lobby and open late
▪️Grass covered courtyards for family fun
We booked the night before. Standard king room which was truly lovely. Large, clean, had a lovely balcony facing the central lobby. We had our morning coffee overlooking the garden and coy fish swimming below. The bathroom was beautiful-similar to what you get at more expensive Orlando stays (looking at you Four Seasons) & a note for my fellow shower snobs, the water pressure in the shower was *excellent*
We were so bummed that we did not get to experience the pool. Our plan was to go after our scheduled viewings but by that time it was storming. We’ll have to book a staycation in the future 🤷🏼♀️ (darn)

I’m a big fan of staying off property when visiting Disney (or out of the bubble) as I like the break from all things Disney. This is also a great location between Walt Disney World® Resort & Universal Studios Florida making it ideal if you are visiting either property spring your stay.

That hotel looks incredible. Definitely adding it to my travel list. Orlando is on my bucket list too
