Send Me All Your Key West Recommendations
We are headed to Key West this summer & I haven’t been since high school. We’re more of the relax and escape vacationers rather than thrill streaking. So hotels, spas, beaches (I know it’s not really a beach my vacation-more about the pool) etc
The only thing we know we want to do is the The Hemingway Home and Museum & have custom sandals made at KINO Sandals but otherwise open to ideas
Also if you have any recommendations for a romantic dinner spot please share that. We’re going for our join birthday trip

Extra points for all the Key Lime Pie recommendations-we like it custardy and very limy
Visiting Key West is all about embracing a laid-back island vibe that balances relaxation with unique local experiences. Since you’re focused on unwinding, I'd highly recommend checking out some boutique hotels that offer resort-style pools and spa services. For instance, The Gardens Hotel provides a tranquil oasis with lush gardens and a serene pool area perfect for escaping the hustle. When it comes to beaches, you're right—Key West isn’t known for sandy stretches, but you can enjoy beach club access or pool time at spots like Higgs Beach or the Casa Marina Beach Resort for a splash of sun and sea breeze. These locations blend natural beauty with calm atmospheres. For your cultural excursion, the Hemingway Home and Museum is a fascinating dive into literary history, and nearby you’ll find charming cafes to enjoy after your tour. Don't miss the opportunity to have custom sandals crafted at KINO Sandals, a unique and personalized souvenir. Regarding romantic dining, Key West boasts a range of intimate settings perfect for your joint birthday trip. Try Latitudes on Sunset Key for a waterfront dining experience with stunning views at sunset. Alternatively, Café Marquesa offers sophisticated cuisine in an elegant but cozy environment—ideal for a special occasion. And since you’re looking for excellent Key Lime Pie, make sure to visit Kermit’s Key West Key Lime Shoppe or the Old Town Bakery. Both are known for their perfectly balanced pies—custardy, tart, and packed with authentic lime flavor that locals and visitors rave about. Overall, your trip can effortlessly blend calm relaxation with authentic island culture and indulgent treats. Enjoy creating beautiful memories in the beautiful Key West atmosphere!
