Fist Day At Disney As Pass Holders

Becoming a Disney pass holder truly transforms how you experience the parks, especially Magic Kingdom. As locals, we had the luxury of taking our time and savoring each moment without the rush typical of tourists. Starting the day with a favorite breakfast at Steakhouse 71 set the perfect tone, offering a cozy atmosphere and delicious food right inside the park. One highlight was riding the upgraded Big Thunder Mountain Railroad — the enhancements really add new thrills while retaining the classic charm. Although the Haunted Mansion was mostly down that day, I caught a glimpse of its quirky and funny theming when it briefly reopened, which only made me look forward to the next visit. Waiting times for beloved rides like the Haunted Mansion can get long, especially after downtime, so planning ahead with a Disney pass definitely helps. I also loved sharing my husband’s first experience on the Tomorrowland Speedway — seeing the joy of a first ride in such a nostalgic attraction was priceless. The golden hour on the PeopleMover gave us a peaceful time to relax and soak in the magical park ambiance. For lunch, the Skipper Canteen was our go-to, where specialty cocktails like the Sunset Margarita and Coconut-Mango Cocktail complemented the adventurous menu perfectly. Being pass holders means we can skip the busiest evenings, like the fireworks show (HEA), and leave before the tourist crowds create long exits. This makes park days feel more pleasant and manageable, especially on foot.
