Navigating Mom guilt??

I never thought once that after me and my husband decided I’d be a SAHM, that I’d almost envy working moms. I was so excited to be able to stay home with our son. Now, I feel so guilty wanting to help bring extra income in for our family. I miss working and having the extra income would help with sooo much of our stresses, but I don’t want to give up the precious time with our son. And I know with working I won’t be able to homeschool either.

Trying to find remote jobs is SO hard too. If it’s not a pyramid scheme then it’s typically a scam, or you need money to start (which we don’t have). I only own an iPad now since my laptop quit on me, which means I’d have to buy a new laptop (that don’t have money for). I always hoped I’d be able to find one but so far my two years of trying has resulted in complete loss and frustration. I want to go back to school but that requires money. I thought about working part time evenings while my husbands home, but then that means we don’t get family time.

I feel so lost and defeated. How do I work through this??

... Read moreMom guilt is a common feeling among stay-at-home mothers who wish to contribute financially while managing family responsibilities. The struggle intensifies when considering returning to work during a time when remote job options can be fraught with challenges. To navigate these feelings, start with open communication with family about your desires and practical needs. Evaluating flexible job opportunities that fit your schedule can also alleviate the pressure. Consider exploring online communities for support and advice on finding legitimate jobs that don't require upfront costs. Networking with other moms can yield valuable recommendations, and various platforms provide resources specifically catering to stay-at-home moms seeking work-from-home options. Setting realistic expectations regarding work hours can help create a balance, allowing you to still enjoy quality family time. Lastly, remember that it's okay to feel lost; taking small, manageable steps toward your goals can diminish guilt and increase your sense of purpose.
