December 2024 Empties Review

Reviews on new products are fun, but when someone has been faithfully using the products til the end are even better. I just feel that you get a more honest review than you would with a barely tried product.

I saved my empties from the last month or so, and Iʼm here to give my opinions.

All of these products are from the Dollar .25 🎄 store, and purchased with my money. Noone has offered nor paid me to lie to yʼall so letʼs get into it!

1. Collagen Plump and Smooth face serum

This actually came in a three-pack of serum capsules.

Collagen, Hylaronic Acid and Retinol for 1.25!!

The brand is My Beauty Spot, and the serums are in gel like capsules that number 30 to each jar.

I take a pair of cuticle scissors and cut the capsule. You get a fair amount of product in each one. Iʼve got to say that the serum isnʼt too heavy, greasy and I feel for the price they work well. I would definitely repurchase.

Overall rating: 8/10

2. Yardley Body Mist: English Rose

I have no sense of smell. Havenʼt in over 3 years. I do not know what this smells like. I have asked others to smell it for me. When I am explaining how the scent worked these are reviews that were told to me by others. On my body and clothes - I got a ʼmehʼ reaction. I didnʼt use this as a body spray. I used this as a bedding/room spray. That seemed to work alot better. The fragrance wasnʼt overwhelming (I was told) as a room spray. It left a nice scent in the air that didnʼt linger too long, nor was it overpowering. Iʼm not a huge rose scented fan, so I probably wouldnʼt repurchase unless I absolutely had too. (I also tried the Lavendar scent that Yardley came out with (also from DT), and there was more positive reactions for that one.)

Overall rating: 5/10 Rose Scent. Overall rating: 7/10 Lavender Scent

3. Freeman Nordic Birch Toner and Pore Minimizer

I didnʼt notice if it shrank my pores. My pores are tiny as it is. I like that I had a full size bottle for 1.25. The toner was nice and refreshing on my skin. I tend to use toners on my face, and othwr areas where I shave for sensitivity. This worked for those ares as well. I didnʼt break out or have any dryness issues with this. Would I repurchase: already did

Overall rating: 8/10

4. B.Pure Cuticle Oil w/ Lapis Lazuli

Does anyone know if these are actual pieces of Lapis Lazuli? I feel like its not. I also didnʼt like the packing. The push button on the lid seemed to leak after awhile, as did the whole top. It was kind of watery yet greasy at the same time, and I wasnʼt impressed with the results. I may not have waited long enough to keep the cuticle oil on, but yea. I finished it. Just want to know if those are actual pieces of Lapis, and what the purpose is for?

Would I repurchase - not likely

Overall rating: 3/10

5. Wet n Wild lip mask Candy Apple

Lip mask from Halloween awhile back. This lip mask lasted me forever, and that was with nightly use. So much product. I had used a different WnW lip mask before I tried this one that broke me out so bad that I wasnʼt going to try this one. Iʼm glad I did because it worked so well! The candy apple fragrance - no clue. I canʼt smell. Repurchase - yes

Overall rating: 9/10

6. Global Beauty Care Brightening Toner Pads

Thereʼs 30 textured pads that contain Glycol Acid, Lemon and Honey for gentle exfoliation. I liked these, and only needed one pad for my face. I feel there is enough product for each pad. I like the screw top jar - doesnʼt leak so I think its nice for travel. Also already repurchsed. Going to save that jar for making my own toner pads for overnights and traveling.

Overall rating: 9/10

Last item! I know I got lots of words on here.

7. Bolero Watermelon and Papaya Complexion Perfectiom Jelly Face Masks

No. Just No. I love some of the other Bolero products. The Jelly make up remover for one is great. These little tubes of jelly mask. I have tried 3 of them already, and none of them are worth the 1.25. First off theyʼre not a jelly consistency. Very watery. Very drying. I shake each one before applying thinking okay maybe it seperated. Nope. Put them in the fridge - nope. They just were runny. I didnʼt see any change. My friend swears by them tho. Idk. Repurchase - oh no.

Overall rating: 1/10

My skin type is Normal. Sometimes a bit sensitive or dry. Iʼm not prone to acne. I also have mature skin. My lips tend to be on the drier side. I am also very fair complected with dark circles under my eyes. I like to leave my skin profile for those who may have a different reaction, and wonder why.

Thanks for reading all that!! #dollartreereviews
