Viral Dollar Tree Dusting Powder

I have been wanting to try out the Dollar Tree dusting powder that I keep seeing everyone making. Finally got around to trying it out. I found a really cute Zodiac jar (Taurus!) at DT, and decided it would be perfect for this. I had the poof already (also from DT). I got the regular scent corn starch powder. For the scent, I used two BnBW fragrances that I love layering together. I used 4 cotton balls (2 per scent), then added the powder. I wasn’t thinking, but next time I do this I will use a different jar to mix cause I spilled a lot of this out the side when I went to shake the container. Not a big deal.

To make your own, begin by selecting a jar or container that captures your personal style; consider decorative options like Zodiac-themed jars or colorful apothecary containers. The process involves three main ingredients: cornstarch, fragrance oils, and cotton balls. Cornstarch serves as the base for the powder, drawing moisture and ensuring a smooth application. It's a natural and gentle powder that can be enhanced with your favorite scents. When choosing fragrances, Bath & Body Works offers a wide range of options that can be layered for a unique smell. The right combination can elevate your dusting powder, making it not just functional, but also a pleasant experience for everyday use. For example, you could start with a light floral scent and complement it with a soothing vanilla for a comforting aroma. Using cotton balls helps to evenly distribute the fragrance throughout the powder, adding a delightful scent each time it's used. Don't forget to experiment with various storage options—while a Zodiac jar may appeal to astrology enthusiasts, any cute container can work just as well. If you face challenges during your mixing process, like spills, it's advisable to use a larger mixing bowl or jar that allows for better containment. Lastly, add a personal touch by labeling your dusting powder jar, letting others know what's inside and showcasing your creative project!

I think I want to try too! How did the power of the scent hold up throughout the day? I seen this trend and some people say the perfume works better but some people say body spray works perfectly fine as well. I frequently wear body oils but I’m thinking layering with a powder might actually be fire 🔥
