For years, I prioritized others' needs to the extent that I was depleted and resentful, just as described in the Rebirth Notes. Answering every text, rearranging my schedule constantly, and making excuses for hurtful behavior took such a toll on my spirit. What changed everything was deciding to set new boundaries and put myself first. It wasn’t easy, and initially, I felt selfish. However, I learned that self-sacrifice isn't the same as love. Genuine healing requires honoring your own needs and valuing your self-worth. This shift allowed me to replenish my energy, reduce resentment, and live with new standards that supported my well-being. Shadow work, as mentioned, became crucial. I asked myself where I was tolerating things I wouldn't accept if it happened to someone I loved. This reflection helped me identify patterns of self-abandonment and motivated me to take action. The truth alone didn’t set me free; choosing myself and acting on that choice did. If you're on a similar path, remember that rebirth is a return to self — not a rejection of others but a profound commitment to your own healing and growth. Prioritizing your own needs can feel revolutionary but is essential for creating a life aligned with your true worth and new energy.
