I WON’T TRIM MY HAIR!!!

1. I am finally at peace with my hair growing in uneven…I used to get so many blunt cuts thinking it was “damage”

2. I do not have breakage when styling my hair, so I know it’s healthy! Some parts just grow slower.

3. I stopped being obsessed with even hair!!! Now I just throw some curlers in it so the thin ends aren’t as obvious.

4. I prefer layered hair! It has more movement and looks a lot fuller than straight, flat hair with blunt ends!

5. It’s helping me reach my hair goals faster! A simple “trim” of 1-3 inches may not seem like a lot of hair but it took an average of 6 MONTHS to grow that hair! If it gets cut that sets me back a whole half a year in meeting my hair goals.

6. I will only trim when I hit a hair goal. Not on a schedule like “every 6 weeks”. So basically I will trim again when I hit mid back length (if I feel like it). I won’t be pressured to cut because it’s been so many weeks or whatever.

IM OVER IT!

... Read moreIn today's beauty world, embracing natural hair texture is not just a trend but a powerful statement of self-acceptance. Many individuals struggle with the pressure of regular trims and the ideal of perfect hair. However, it’s essential to recognize that hair growth varies from person to person, and trends shift towards embracing natural imperfections. Layered hairstyles are becoming increasingly popular as they offer more volume and movement than blunt cuts. This versatility allows for creative styling options, including curling and waving, which can enhance thinner ends without compromising overall health. Understanding your hair's health is critical. While regular trims may help some maintain style, others find that these cuts can impede their growth journey. Tracking hair health rather than adhering to a strict trim schedule can lead to improved hair growth confidence. Giving yourself the freedom to set personal hair goals, such as reaching a specific length before trimming, can alleviate the pressure to conform to societal beauty standards. This approach not only promotes patience but also reinforces a positive relationship with your hair. Ultimately, it’s about celebrating uniqueness in hair texture and growth patterns. Listen to your hair's needs and celebrate every step of its journey, from growth to styling. Embracing natural hair without the burden of regular trims can lead to healthier, more vibrant locks, allowing individuals to shine in their authenticity.

If you don’t trim your hair consistently the ends will continue to split up the hair shaft which will then lead to breakage near the splits. I would recommend trimming your hair every 3 months. Which is only 4 trims a year. But you can’t trim hair when you feel like it. Because then it becomes counter productive.

It's your hair. However, a licensed stylist will say that hair grows from the ends with as needed dusting and quarterly trim while people are supposed to lose one hundred strands per day. It's good to know your hair type on whether you need a moisture routine Low manipulation hair styles help with loose ponytail holder to avoid middle breakage Hair growth depends on genetics, diet, vitamins and maintenance Good luck on your goals and blessings

A Trim is a Cut !
Healthy hair starts with how you care for it, from the roots all the way to the ends. Holding on to dead or split ends only causes more damage, making it harder for your hair to thrive. In 2025, we're all about healthy, flourishing natural hair-so why not start by letting go of what's hold

Hairstylists - where should I trim my hair?
I want to keep my ‘U’ shape if possible because aesthetically I think it looks more natural than a blunt edge but if I have to cut it straight across I will. Also, I didn’t comb my hair in the back so there is a gap in the middle, but there’s hair there. #trim #splitends #healthyhairgrowth
