1 YEAR NO TRIM METHOD (Dec 2024-Dec 2025)
It’s officially been one year since I’ve fixed this “hole” in my hair. I know that your first instinct is probably to just cut off all of my length. But no, I had a different plan. I decided to grow my hair out and maintain my consistent hair regimen to see if I would do more damage to my hair or if I could grow out the empty spot in my head. My hair all around was very healthy. It just seemed like the middle part was breaking off or wouldn’t grow, but that’s not the case. I come to realize that the section in the middle of my head just grows slower than the rest of my hair. If I were to cut it off, then I was cutting off healthy hair. ✨
Not only does the hair in the middle of my head grow much slower than the sides, the shape of my head determines how my hair falls! My head is higher on the top, which makes the hair in the center LOOK shorter than the hair on the sides. 💕
I noticed that a lot of women have this issue and are constantly cutting their hair down so that it is even. But hair never grows out evenly. Do not let stylists lie to you and tell you that your hair is broken when it is just growing in at different speeds.
I do not have split ends. If you look at my hair, all of my hair is different lengths, but that is because they grow at different speeds. Split ends are when the individual hairs on your head are split at the tip. You cannot see split ends from a photo online. You must look at each individual strand of hair in person or under a microscope to see the damage. I do not have split ends, but the total length of my hair was uneven, only due to it growing at different rates and the shape of my head. ❤️
This is encouragement for any other ladies dealing with this issue to keep maintaining a healthy hair regimen.
I know that my hair is not experiencing breakage because when I would comb my hair or brush my hair, the hair that would come out of my head was only shedding.
I knew it was only shedding because the ends of the hair had a white bulb on it. I had no hairs that were short, or came out of my head without a white tip.
This encouraged me to keep going on my hair journey and just grow out my hair. I may cut my hair if I feel like it, but for right now I refuse to trim. #growingmyhair

If you start noticing split ends, you have to trim it because split ends go upward and all that hair that you grew is gonna end up having to get chopped off and you have to start from the beginning again. I don’t trim my hair all the time I can go seven or eight months without trimming my hair if I take care of my hair. If you’re someone who doesn’t take care of their hair and constantly having split ends, then you have to constantly trim more often. Plus, everybody has different hair and it grows differently for everybody so what works for somebody may not work for somebody else.. but everybody is advice doesn’t mean it’s bad. It just works differently different people.
