... Read moreAfter sharing my recent Silly Bandz unboxing, I realized there's so much more to talk about when it comes to these nostalgic little rubber bands! I’ve been getting a lot of questions about collecting them, what to look for, and even specific types. So, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into the world of Silly Bandz and share some of my personal tips and experiences. One of the most exciting parts is definitely the Silly Bandz packaging! As you saw in my unboxing, some packs, like the Mystery silly band pack! with its cool black and white checkered design, are just thrilling to open because you never know what you'll get. I always check for the specific brand, usually Sillybandz, because they tend to have the best quality that actually holds its shape, unlike some others I've tried. Look out for different counts too, like the 12-Pack SillyRingz or the 18 PACK Fantasy bands and PRINCESS bands. Sometimes the packaging itself can be a collector's item! Building a Silly Bandz collection is so much fun, and it's not just about opening new packs. I love organizing mine by theme or color. For example, my Fantasy-themed shaped rubber bands with the little unicorns and dragons are all together, and my Princess-themed shaped rubber bands with the castles and wands have their own special spot. I've learned that keeping them in clear containers helps protect them and makes it easy to admire them. When I'm looking for new additions, I sometimes check out online marketplaces or even local flea markets – you never know when you'll stumble upon a rare shape or a vintage pack! Let's talk about some of the unique types. The SillyRingz are a personal favorite of mine! They’re so cute and wearable, like the yellow star and heart shapes I found. They really stand out. And then there's the hunt for glitter Silly Bandz! While I haven't found a dedicated 'glitter' pack yet, I've seen some limited edition bands that have a subtle shimmer or translucent quality that catches the light beautifully. Sometimes, if you're feeling crafty, you can even add a clear glitter topcoat to some of your existing bands (though be careful it doesn't affect their flexibility!). It's all about making your collection unique. A common frustration, as I mentioned in my post, is when bands don't stay in their shape. My trick is to store them flat or loosely in pouches, away from direct sunlight or extreme heat, which can make them brittle or lose their form. The 'good silly bands' really do exist, and they're usually the ones made of higher quality silicone. Always check the feel and elasticity before you buy if you can! Collecting Silly Bandz is a little trip down memory lane for me, and it's awesome to see new designs still coming out. Whether you're just starting your collection or you're a seasoned collector, there's always something new to discover. What are your favorite types of Silly Bandz?
