HARE KRISHNA
A poor Brahmin lived on the banks of a quiet river. He owned nothing except a small hut and a deep love for Krishna. Every day he would sit near the water, close his eyes, and imagine Krishna standing before him playing the flute. He offered flowers, water, and fruits in his mind because he had nothing else.
Years passed. One evening during sunset, as the Brahmin sat in meditation, he suddenly heard the soft sound of a flute. When he opened his eyes, the sky was glowing with divine light. Before him stood Krishna, radiant and compassionate, holding the flute.
Krishna smiled and said,
“Your devotion reached me long ago. What you offered in your heart is greater than any temple offering.”
The Brahmin fell to the ground in tears. Krishna blessed him and disappeared into the golden light, leaving the devotee filled with eternal peace.
Sanskrit Verse :
अहं भक्तपराधीनो ह्यस्वतन्त्र इव द्विज ।
साधुभिर्ग्रस्तहृदयो भक्तैर् भक्तजनप्रियः ॥
Meaning :
“The Lord says: I am controlled by my devotees. Though I am independent, I become bound by their pure devotion. My heart belongs to those who love me sincerely.”

In practical terms, this can mean that even without access to grand temples or elaborate ceremonies, sincere prayer and mindfulness create a sacred space within daily life. It’s a reminder that divine grace often appears when least expected, often in moments of pure surrender and heartfelt longing.
