You know how hard it is to get little ones to sit still? But with the Sistaco Classic system, it’s been surprisingly smooth. I recently gave my little one a beautiful set of glittery, light purple or silver nails, and they absolutely loved the shimmer. I wanted to share exactly how I managed to get such a great finish, hoping it helps anyone else looking for a simple, salon-quality manicure at home. First things first, preparation is key! Before you even think about polish, make sure the nails are clean, dry, and free of any old polish. I gently push back the cuticles and give the nails a quick buff – this really helps the magnetic gel adhere better. For kids, I usually just do a quick wipe with an alcohol pad to make sure there are no oils from playtime. Now, for the actual application – here’s my step-by-step guide to the Sistaco Classic method: Base Coat: Apply a thin, even layer of the Sistaco Base Coat. This step is crucial for protecting the natural nail and ensuring good adhesion. Make sure to cap the free edge of the nail to prevent chipping. Cure under the Sistaco LED lamp for 60 seconds. For tiny fingers, sometimes I do one hand at a time to keep them from smudging. Magnetic Powder: This is where the magic happens! Take your chosen magnetic powder (for my kiddo, it was a gorgeous glittery shade that looked like light purple or silver!). Using the applicator, dab a generous amount of powder onto the cured base coat. You don’t need to be super neat at this stage, just ensure good coverage. Gently rub it in until you see a smooth, even layer of powder. Top Coat: Apply a thin layer of the Sistaco Top Coat over the magnetic powder. Again, cap the free edge. This seals in the powder and gives it that glossy, protective finish. Cure under the LED lamp for another 60 seconds. Magnet Effect (Optional but amazing!): If you want that classic Sistaco cat-eye or striped effect, immediately after applying the *Top Coat and before curing*, use the Sistaco magnet. Hold it close to the nail for about 5-10 seconds without touching. You’ll see the magnetic particles in the powder respond, creating stunning designs. Then cure for 60 seconds. Since I was doing glittery nails, I sometimes skip the magnet for a more uniform sparkle, but it's fun to experiment! Clean Up: Once cured, the nails should be dry to the touch. If there’s any sticky residue (which is rare with Sistaco!), you can wipe it off with a cleanser pad. For kids, I find this system much less messy than traditional polish, and the instant dry means less chance of smudges right after application. The best part? These glittery nails lasted wonderfully, even through all the playing and hand-washing! It really makes a difference when you follow these application steps. I've found that patience and thin layers are key to a lasting, professional-looking manicure. Happy polishing!
