Let it be known 🙌🏻

Which is why I NEVER strayed from raw milk during pregnancy as well home-canned dairy and even undercooked egg yolks from my chickens. Hell I even ate those yolks raw in my ramen… and guess what, I had a completely normal and healthy pregnancy. My last pregnancy was the only one I did this with out of my 3 kiddos, and oddly enough it was my easiest and least complicated health wise 🤔 weird huh???

Raw milk is rich in nutrients and beneficial bacteria, but it can carry pathogens if not handled properly. According to the CDC, foodborne illness cases from raw milk are much lower compared to other foods such as spicy turkey sandwiches and leafy greens. In fact, there are around 1,000 cases of foodborne illness linked to raw milk annually, as opposed to 2.1 million from leafy greens. This discrepancy raises questions about the perceived danger of raw milk versus the reality of other foods. Pregnant women considering raw milk should prioritize quality and purchase from trusted sources to minimize risks. Always consult healthcare providers before making dietary changes in pregnancy for guidance tailored to individual health needs. Embracing traditional diets can be beneficial, but one must navigate these practices with care and knowledge.
