What my 4 y/o had for dinner
I made her homemade nuggets. I found these great dinosaur chicken nugget molds on Amazon that I used for these. I coated her nuggets and pork rind “breadcrumbs” (0 carbs 0 sugar 0 everything) and cook them in the air fryer. I also made her homemade french fries that I fried in beef tallow. And she had a side of her favorite fruits, strawberries, and bananas!
Feeding toddlers can sometimes be challenging, but with fun and nutritious recipes, mealtime can become an enjoyable experience. One creative idea is to use fun-shaped molds for homemade chicken nuggets, as seen with the dinosaur-themed molds. This not only makes the food visually appealing to little ones but also encourages them to try new foods. Using pork rind breadcrumbs is a clever way to keep the nuggets low in carbs and sugar while still providing a crunchy texture. These nuggets can be air-fried, resulting in a healthier cooking method than traditional frying. Homemade french fries can also be a healthy addition to any meal, especially when prepared in beef tallow, which is rich in healthy fats. Pairing these meals with fresh fruits like strawberries and bananas not only adds essential vitamins and minerals, but also introduces sweetness that toddlers may find irresistible. You can also experiment with different fruits, as variety helps create a balanced diet. Involving children in the meal preparation can be a fun and educational experience, making them more interested in the foods they eat. Share your healthy toddler meal ideas to inspire other parents!
