Successful hatches 9 out of 11. The 2 Black Australorps were not genetically strong enough to survive. One died with in the hour after hatching and took over 24 hrs to hatch - it had very labored breathing from the moment it hatched it never even had the strength to open its eyes. The other never hatched and I did an assisted hatch after 30 hours to find a badly deformed chick - long lower beak short upper beak, domed head, yolk sac never absorbed, and NO EYES! Not even eyelids!
