Elderly, pregnant women, & children are off limits. Period.

During my pregnancy, I experienced firsthand how critical it is for society to respect and protect vulnerable groups such as pregnant women, the elderly, and children. Unfortunately, some adults engage in bullying behaviors that not only harm these individuals physically but also emotionally. Many of the women who harassed me when I was at high risk could have chosen empathy and support instead. From my own journey, I can attest to the profound impact that kindness and understanding have on well-being during pregnancy. Simple acts like offering a smile, a helping hand, or just knowing when to keep a respectful distance can make all the difference. On the other hand, encountering adult bullies who disregard these boundaries can increase stress levels, potentially affecting both mother and baby. Promoting awareness is key. Everyone should 'touch grass'—meaning reconnect with reality and cultivate compassion rather than getting lost in negativity or online toxicity. Encouraging respectful behavior toward those carrying new life, the elderly who deserve dignity, and children who are learning from everything around them, shapes a healthier community for all. I invite others to share similar experiences or strategies that helped them cope with or address adult bullying in sensitive contexts. Together, we can strengthen support networks and ensure these vulnerable groups are truly off limits to bullying and harassment.
