Seasons changing= mood changing
I genuinely feel like my mood depends solely on the weather and season. I don’t know why or how, but I’m truly only ever fully happy when it’s beautiful out (mostly in the summer). Does anyone else relate?
Many people find that mood fluctuations align with seasonal changes. During summer, longer daylight hours and warmer weather often increase levels of serotonin, the happiness hormone. In contrast, winter can lead to feelings of sadness or even Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). Understanding these emotional responses can help us manage our well-being. Engaging in seasonal activities, such as enjoying the outdoors in spring or getting cozy indoors during fall, can enhance mood stability. To combat the winter blues, consider light therapy or outdoor exercises to elevate your spirits. Remember, acknowledging these shifts can lead to proactive coping strategies and improved mental health. Additionally, sharing experiences with others who feel similarly can foster community support. Engaging in forums or discussions about seasonal mood changes can provide a sense of belonging and understanding. So, how do you adapt as the seasons change?
