A girl asked me for advice before starting nursing school.. here’s what I wish someone told me 👀🩺 #nursingschool #nursingstudent #ecpi #futurelpn #futurenurse
Starting nursing school can be both exciting and overwhelming. One piece of advice I wish someone had told me before I began was to prioritize time management right from the start. Balancing coursework, clinical hours, and personal life is crucial. Another important tip is to embrace study groups and peer support. Nursing school is tough, and having classmates to discuss difficult concepts or share study resources can make a significant difference. Networking with fellow students often leads to shared knowledge and motivation. When it comes to clinicals, don’t be afraid to ask questions and engage with nurses on the floor. Hands-on experience is invaluable for applying theoretical knowledge and building confidence. Self-care also cannot be overstated. Nursing school can be physically and emotionally demanding, so making time for rest, exercise, and mental well-being will help sustain your energy throughout the program. Lastly, stay organized with your materials and notes. Using apps or planners to keep track of assignments, exams, and deadlines can reduce stress and help you stay on top of your responsibilities. These insights helped me transition more smoothly into nursing school and could be a great foundation for anyone beginning their journey toward becoming a nurse, whether aiming for an LPN or beyond.
