3.Kelvin-Helmholtz Clouds The image of a cloud forming a row of curls. It looks like a giant sea wave curling towards a giant shore in the sky. 4. Circumhorizontal Arc, a bright rainbow cloud sheet that spreads horizontally parallel to the horizon. When the sun shines on the hexagonal ice flakes in the high-level cirrus cloud at exactly the right angle, it makes the sky look like it is drained by bright spectral colors. ในฐานะผู้ชื่นชอบการสังเกตธรรมชาติและท้องฟ้า การได้เห็นปรากฏการณ์แปลกประหลาดบนฟ้าเหล่านี้เป็นประสบการณ์ที่ตื่นตาตื่นใจมากครับ เมฆเลนส์รูปจานบิน (Lenticular Clouds) นั้นผมเคยเจอครั้งหนึ่งตอนเดินทางในเขตภูเขาสูง มันเหมือน UFO ที่จอดนิ่งอยู่บนท้องฟ้าจริงๆ และรู้สึกตื่นเต้นมากที่ได้เห็นเจ้าเมฆนี้เกิดจากกระแสลมและความชื้นที่ผสมกันจนควบแน่นเป็นชั้นเหมือนจานบินยักษ์ เมฆเต้านมมรณะ (Mammatus Clouds) ซึ่งหลายคนอาจรู้สึกว่าน่ากลัวเพราะรูปร่างคล้ายถุงห้อยลงมา แต่จริงๆ แล้วมันเป็นสัญญาณเตือนพายุรุนแรง เห็นครั้งหนึ่งในช่วงฝนตกหนักหลังจากพายุผ่านไป ผมรู้สึกได้ถึงพลังของธรรมชาติที่แฝงอยู่ในเมฆก้อนนี้ ปรากฏการณ์รุ้งไฟ (Circumhorizontal Arc) คือสิ่งที่ทำให้ผมรู้สึกทึ่งในความอลังการของธรรมชาติ แสงสีรุ้งสดใสอบอวลบนเมฆเซอร์รัสระดับสูง เมื่อลมและแสงผสมกันอย่างลงตัวจนเกิดภาพเหมือนภาพวาดบนท้องฟ้า นอกจากนี้ การได้เห็นปรากฏการณ์เสาแสงเรืองรอง (Light Pillars) ยามค่ำคืนก็เป็นความมหัศจรรย์ที่ผมไม่เคยลืม แสงไฟจากพื้นดินสะท้อนกับเกล็ดน้ำแข็งในอากาศที่เย็นจัด ทำให้เกิดภาพเสาลำแสงอยู่บนท้องฟ้าเหมือนแสงสปอตไลท์จากต่างดาวจริงๆ สำหรับเมฆม้วนกันชนขอบฟ้า (Roll Clouds) ที่หมุนรอบตัวเอง และเมฆเรืองแสงยามวิกาล (Noctilucent Clouds) ที่ส่องแสงสีฟ้าอมเงินในชั้นบรรยากาศสูง ก็เป็นสิ่งที่หลายครั้งสร้างความรู้สึกเหมือนอยู่ในโลกแฟนตาซี สุดท้ายปรากฏการณ์แสงวาบสีเขียว (Green Flash) ที่เกิดขึ้นเพียงเสี้ยววินาทีเมื่อพระอาทิตย์ขึ้นหรือตก เป็นสิ่งที่ผมตั้งใจรอชมทุกครั้งในช่วงที่มีโอกาสได้เห็นขอบฟ้าทะเล เช่น ณ ชายหาดที่สงบ ความรู้สึกตื่นเต้นและตระการตาทำให้ความงดงามนี้อยู่ในความทรงจำอย่างลึกซึ้ง ทั้งหมดนี้แสดงให้เห็นว่าท้องฟ้าและก้อนเมฆไม่ใช่แค่ผืนผ้าใบเปล่าๆ แต่คือเวทีมหัศจรรย์ที่ธรรมชาติสร้างสรรค์ขึ้นมาให้เราชื่นชมและตระหนักถึงความงดงามที่แท้จริงของโลกใบนี้
