Why I Quit Modeling

📸 or rather, why modeling quit ME

📸 Photographers are usually looking for a specific demographic, after I had my baby I didn’t fit the look… literally

📸 The requests became less and less interesting and I prefer creative shoots

📸 I work live now! I work in live events doing different gigs

📸 I prefer to work as an independent contractor doing fun projects I choose instead of having a manager choose for me

... Read moreThe modeling industry can be a demanding space, with its intense focus on specific aesthetics and ever-changing trends. Many models, like myself, encounter challenges as they navigate their careers, particularly after significant life changes, such as motherhood. It’s not uncommon for women to feel pressure to conform to certain standards, leading to feelings of inadequacy or disconnection from the industry. After transitioning away from traditional modeling roles, I rediscovered my passion for creative shoots that align with my personal interests, exploring avenues such as photography, cosplay, and live events. Working as an independent contractor has allowed me the freedom to curate projects that resonate with my artistic vision and capabilities, emphasizing the importance of self-expression in a field often dictated by external decisions. Moreover, the growing emphasis on authenticity in social media has encouraged other models and creatives to redefine their careers, focusing on genuine connections and projects rather than fitting a mold. These experiences highlight the need to embrace vulnerability, which can lead to greater fulfillment and success in both personal and professional realms. In this era where creativity and authenticity reign, finding a path that honors our individual stories is crucial.

If I could have guaranteed I could look like u after having a baby, I would have taken the chance. I used to have a figure like urs. My age, Osteoarthritis, Depression and lack of activity put weight on me, which I am slowly dropping. Started at 232# in 5/22 now 185#. I'm glad u have found a place in the modeling career. I hate it when people r so critical.

#storytime #lemon8contest So I’ve always wanted to become a model but I didn’t think I could work for any big named companies if I worked with an agency in St. Louis. But I tried it out anyways and I got accepted immediately because I had all the right measurements and I had a good catwalk.

Why Most Creators Quit Too Soon
Most people quit content creation not because they aren’t talented — but because they’re overwhelmed and guessing. You don’t need to do everything. You need a clear starting point. That’s exactly why I created The Wealthy Creator — to help beginners build with clarity instead of chaos.

Huge reason why you shouldn’t quit
One thing i really learned over the past few months is just how supportive the art community is! Everyone is so kind, sweet and supportive! Sometimes life and “art business” is just so overwhelming, so breaking things down into little quick wins really helps me maintain balance. Best wishes!! 🫶
