Books I Read In 2024: Part 2
As promised, I’ll try to post once a month and here is part 2 of the books I read. I hope to read more in 2025 so then MAYBE I’ll get through my TBR list (doubt that’ll happen anytime soon 🤣) Let me know if you’ve read of the books and what you thought here and in part 1…but no spoilers 🤫

Hey bookworms! So glad you're back for Part 2 of my 2024 reading adventures. It's been such a journey discovering new stories, and I'm excited to share more of the books that truly stuck with me this year. If you're anything like me, your TBR list is probably growing faster than you can read, but finding those gems makes it all worth it! This time around, I've got a mix of everything, from heartwarming contemporary romances to some seriously spicy reads that definitely kept things interesting. Let's dive into a few that really stood out! First up, the Erin Mackenzie books, 'LINE of SCRIMMAGE' and 'the END ZONE,' were fantastic. I'm a huge fan of sports romance, and these delivered on all fronts—great banter, emotional depth, and just enough heat to make you swoon. They both earned high ratings from me, and I honestly couldn't put them down. If you're looking for an author who crafts engaging characters and compelling plots within the sports world, definitely check these out. Then there were the Meghan Quinn reads, 'not so MEET CUTE' and 'SO not MEANT TO BE.' Meghan Quinn always brings the laughs, and these were no exception. Her unique blend of humor and heartfelt romance is just perfection. While 'not so MEET CUTE' was a fun ride, 'SO not MEANT TO BE' really resonated with me, earning that 5-star rating! If you need a feel-good romance with plenty of witty dialogue, these are your go-to. Now, for those of you who appreciate a good 'smut' or 'spicy' read, I definitely encountered a few that delivered! Books like 'SAY YOU SWEAR' by Meagan Brandy and 'CHAOS' by Luna Masen really dialed up the intensity. They're both intense and captivating, pulling you into their worlds with strong characters and undeniable chemistry. And let's not forget 'OFF LIMITS' by Ja Low, which also brought some serious spice to the table! It's always fun to find books that aren't afraid to explore those passionate connections. Another author I enjoyed was Ann Einerson with 'If You GIVE A Billionaire A BRIDE' and 'If You GIVE A SINGLE Dad A NANNY.' These were such delightful and charming reads, perfect for when you want something light yet engaging, with a sweet romance unfolding. They might not be in the 'smut' category, but they certainly deliver on the romance front! And for a truly charming experience, 'BETTER THAN THE MOVIES' by Lynn Painter was an absolute 5-star read for me. It's one of those books that just makes your heart happy. If you love a good friends-to-lovers trope with plenty of movie references, this one is a must! Finding books that match what you're looking for, whether it's a deep emotional journey, laugh-out-loud moments, or a super spicy escape, is such a rewarding part of reading. I often look at reviews and 'spice ratings' on platforms like Goodreads or even here on Lemon8 to gauge if a book fits my mood before diving in. Sometimes, you just need that perfect book to transport you, and I hope some of my 2024 reads can do that for you too. Keep those recommendations coming in the comments—I'm always looking for my next obsession to conquer that ever-growing TBR!
