HOW I LANDED MY BANFF INFLUENCER TRIP🏔️
Hiiii everyone!🤍
I hope you had the best holiday season and start to the new year! I know that a new year brings lots of new changes and challenges, so give yourself grace this next season of life if it’s been hard for you!
LETS GET INTO IT⬇️⬇️
What I did: I’ve worked with tons of different brands, hotels, resorts throughout my 9 years of influencing.
(yes…This did NOT happen overnight, and definitely not a get “rich” quick sort of thing)🙃
But BUILDING a portfolio is the first and most important thing you need to do if you want to work with any brands especially resorts or hotels!❤️
NEXT, you need to find a CONTACT of the place your want to stay at in exchange for content or other services you’re willing to provide. You can find these on their websites, social media platforms or simply digging on the internet.
Once you think you’ve found the right person to talk to, that is when you PITCH 🗣️, yes your heard that right. You’re gonna have to pitch yourself. Tell them about what you have done, or are planning on doing/ creating.
No company or business is going to want to compensate you if you don’t have a GAME PLAN!!!
So next step is, CREATE A GAME PLAN for the collaboration, coming up with ideas, content strategy, exc. ( THIS WILL SEPARATE YOU) from the normal person who just showcases a media kit!
Then from there on out, my biggest advice and how I land my brand deals especially going into 2024 is to keep TRYING. Grit and perseverance will outweigh every “NO thank you”🥹 that you will get. Find places you love, provide value and it will take you so so far!
I’m excited to share my next Influencer trip coming up in APRIL!! Any guesses on where?🥰🥰🥰
Wishing you all the most success and joy this next year!
And if you have any questions throw them in the comments below so I can answer them!

Wow, it's so amazing to hear from so many of you asking about influencer trips! Landing that Banff collaboration was definitely a game-changer for me, and I'm thrilled to share even more about how you can make your own influencer dreams a reality, especially when targeting hotels and resorts. One of the biggest lessons I've learned, particularly with incredible destinations like Banff, is that your content strategy needs to be hyper-specific. For my Banff trip, I knew I wanted to highlight the stunning natural beauty – those majestic snow-covered mountains and the partially frozen lake were going to be main characters in my content! But it wasn't just about beautiful shots. When working with hotels in Canada, they're often looking for creators who can showcase not just the destination, but also the experience of staying with them. Think about those cozy moments inside, the delicious food, the unique amenities, and how seamlessly the hotel integrates with the local activities, whether it's skiing in winter clothing or relaxing after a day of exploring. And let's talk about TikTok! It's a powerhouse for hotel influencer marketing, especially in Canada where unique experiences are highly valued. When I plan my TikTok content for a hotel collaboration, I focus on short, engaging narratives. Instead of just a pretty montage, I'll tell a story: 'Come with me to my cozy Banff retreat!' or 'POV: Waking up to this incredible mountain view at [Hotel Name].' I use trending sounds, quick cuts, and text overlays to keep viewers hooked. Hotels want to see how you can drive genuine interest and potential bookings, so think about showcasing specific features – maybe a spa, a unique dining experience, or even a fun local activity accessible from the hotel. Another crucial aspect is the follow-through. It’s not enough to just create the content during your trip. After the Banff trip, I made sure to deliver my content promptly, often providing a mix of raw footage and edited pieces, along with detailed analytics. This includes impressions, reach, engagement rates, and any direct inquiries or bookings I could track. Building a long-term relationship with brands and hotels is key. They'll remember creators who are professional, deliver high-quality work, and exceed expectations. Don't be afraid to ask for feedback and use it to refine your approach for future collaborations. Sometimes, you might feel discouraged by a 'no,' or even by the sheer amount of planning required. Trust me, I've been there! But every 'no' is a stepping stone. Instead of giving up, I'd analyze what might have been missing from my pitch or portfolio and refine it. Maybe the hotel's aesthetic wasn't a perfect match, or perhaps my game plan wasn't clear enough. This perseverance is what truly separates those who land these amazing influencer trips from those who don't. Keep refining, keep learning, and keep providing value. Your dream collaboration, whether it's in a snowy Banff landscape or elsewhere, is waiting!

Keep your work!
