Farm house mornings

Ever since finding my peace here at my house I have started appreciating the little things a lot more. I am just proud of myself and anyone that can experience true bliss. This all started with me finally setting boundaries with people I decided to surround myself with. Which means I know have a smaller circle, but the biggest support group could ever ask for. If you are ever having these feelings, do not be afraid to set boundaries and cut certain people off that aren’t good for you.

It’s not just about waking up; it’s about creating an experience, right here at home. I used to rush, but now my farmhouse mornings are a testament to slowing down and appreciating the little things. One of the first things I learned was the power of light. Like the sunlight streaming through our open windows, casting a warm glow indoors, it instantly lifts my spirit. I love how it highlights the patterned curtains, creating geometric shadows on the walls – it's like natural art! I've found that simply opening the blinds and letting the day in can significantly shift your mood. It’s a simple act, but it makes the whole house feel alive and welcoming. Then there's the art of creating cozy spots. My cozy bench with its striped pillow, woven basket, and a throw blanket adorned with bee patterns isn't just for show; it's where I often enjoy my first cup of coffee or journal. It’s a little nook dedicated to comfort. Having these dedicated spaces, whether it’s a reading chair or a spot by the window, encourages you to pause and find peace. I've even added a white porch swing with a patterned cushion outside, overlooking our grassy yard and trees, which is just perfect for enjoying the golden light of sunrise. It’s become a ritual to sit there, feeling the gentle breeze and watching the day begin. Another aspect of a truly peaceful home, which goes hand-in-hand with setting boundaries with people, is setting boundaries with *your space*. Decluttering and organizing aren't just chores; they're acts of self-care. When my space feels serene, my mind follows suit. I love having fresh flowers from the garden, like those vibrant pink coneflowers, indoors. And sometimes, I get really creative, like with my glass jar holding lotus seeds in water on the wooden railing, catching the morning sun – it adds such a serene, natural touch. My goal for every morning at home is to foster that feeling of genuine bliss. It's about recognizing that your home is your ultimate retreat. Whether it's the quiet contemplation of a rural farm view at sunrise or just the simple beauty of sunlight casting distinct rectangular patterns on a wall, these moments are precious. If you're looking to cultivate more peace and joy in your own home life, start small. Identify one area that brings you calm, embrace the natural light, and create a cozy corner. It’s amazing how these tiny shifts can transform your entire day, and truly, your well-being at home.
