Ive had the urge for a while now that someway, somehow I wanted to grow my faith closer to God. So I bought a Bible. I picked it up & I started in the book of John. You guys, I’m FOURTEEN chapters in & I’m getting his word, loving the experience and would love for you to journey along with me while I read the chapters of John. Starting a journey through the Book of John is one of the most enriching spiritual experiences I've embarked upon. As I dove deeper chapter by chapter, I found myself moved not only by the stories of Jesus’ miracles but also by the profound lessons about faith, love, and redemption embedded in the text. One of the significant revelations came from understanding the historical and cultural context of John's gospel, which was likely written between AD 70 and AD 100. Knowing this helped me appreciate how John’s message was tailored to both Jewish and Gentile audiences, explaining customs and Aramaic phrases to convey Christ's divinity and his fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies. Reading about the miracles, like the healing of the blind man and the raising of Lazarus, truly challenged me to reflect on the spiritual blindness we can experience in life. It made me consider how faith isn’t just about what we see, but also about trusting in God’s promises and the teachings of Jesus as the Good Shepherd. The themes of Jesus being the resurrection and the life became especially meaningful as I faced moments of doubt or difficulty. It reminded me that faith is a journey with ups and downs, but embracing these chapters strengthened my resolve to grow closer to God. For anyone looking to deepen their faith or start reading the Bible, I highly recommend the Book of John. It offers a beautiful blend of narrative and theology that speaks powerfully across time.
