Final Exam Week 🥲💜
Hi! Surprisingly, I had a great day today! I took my biochemistry final exam and I think I did well. Also, I spent most of the day with my great friend, Lindsey! I am so lucky to have such amazing people around me.

It's so easy to get caught up in the stress of college finals week, so hearing about a great day like that is super refreshing! While it’s awesome to have those moments, let's be real – finals week usually feels like a marathon. After surviving a few of these myself, I've picked up some tips that might help you not just get through it, but actually feel good about your performance and well-being. First off, effective studying is key. It's not just about spending hours staring at books. For my own "Biochemistry Final Exam," I found that breaking down topics into smaller chunks and using active recall (testing myself without looking at notes) made a huge difference. Don’t just re-read; explain concepts out loud or to a study partner. If you're working on something like a "physics worksheet," try to solve problems from scratch rather than just reviewing solutions. And speaking of studying, having a dedicated "desk setup at night" is fine, but make sure it’s effective. I often use a second monitor for references while working on my laptop, making sure I’m not just endlessly scrolling social media! Next, don't forget to fuel your body. It’s tempting to grab whatever is easiest, but a good breakfast can really kickstart your brain. "Overnight oats" have been a game-changer for me – super easy to prepare the night before and perfect for an "on the go breakfast!" For lunch and dinner, look for quick but nutritious options. Sometimes, a quick trip to "Chipotle" for a healthy bowl can save you time and energy, much better than junk food that leaves you feeling sluggish. And please, take breaks! It sounds counterintuitive when you have so much to do, but stepping away can actually boost your productivity. Whether it's a short walk around campus to enjoy the "autumn leaves" or grabbing "Froyo with Lindsey!" like our friend did, these small moments of joy and connection are so important. They help clear your head and prevent burnout. I've learned that pushing myself too hard often leads to diminishing returns. A mirror selfie or just taking a few minutes to "get ready" in the morning can also help set a positive tone for the day, even if you’re just moving from your bed to your study space. Lastly, manage your mindset. Finals week is tough, but try to stay positive. Celebrate small wins, like finishing a tough chapter or understanding a complex problem. Remember that self-doubt is normal, but focus on what you do know. Utilize tools like Canva (as seen in some study setups) not just for presentations, but for organizing your notes visually or creating study guides. It can make studying feel more engaging. I hope these tips help you navigate your own college finals week journey with a bit more ease and confidence. You've got this!

My chemistry teacher said that her biochemistry class was the most amazing class that she has ever taken, is that true for you too?
