What can I do to alleviate PCOS symptoms?

✨Transparency Post✨

Please help a girl out. 🙃

I am a 34 year old mom of 4. I have not been clinically diagnosed with PCOS but, I’m trying to get it diagnosed.

I have struggled with symptoms since I was a teen. Pregnancy, stress, and having a salpingectomy in 2019 have worsened my symptoms. I am not on any form of birth control. I feel that being on hormonal birth control did maybe help *somewhat*.

I struggle with excessive thick/coarse/dark facial and body hair. Acne on my face, neck, chest and back. Heavy and painful period’s. I have began having several HOT flashes per day/night within the last 6-9 months. Major mood swings.

I have seen a few OBGYN’s and their response’s were almost exactly the same: “some women are hairy and have heavy period’s” 😑🤨 (major eye roll).

I am looking to find things I can do daily and in home to help alleviate my symptoms. I am open to any and all suggestions! Thank you in advance! 😚

... Read morePolycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a common hormonal disorder among women of reproductive age. It often leads to a range of symptoms including irregular periods, excessive hair growth (hirsutism), acne, and mood fluctuations. Lifestyle changes, such as adopting a healthy diet rich in whole foods, regular physical activity, and weight management, can significantly alleviate symptoms. Consider incorporating anti-inflammatory foods and practicing stress-reducing techniques, such as yoga or mindfulness meditation, in your daily routine. Supplements like inositol and omega-3 fatty acids have also been noted in some studies to help improve insulin sensitivity and reduce symptoms. Furthermore, connecting with the PCOS community online can provide valuable support, resources, and shared experiences that empower your journey towards managing your symptoms. Finding the right healthcare professional who understands PCOS can also be crucial. They can offer tailored advice, potentially suggest treatments that could help, and assist in the process of getting diagnosed. Engaging in support groups where women share their experiences with PCOS can also be incredibly beneficial. Remember, you are not alone in this journey, and exploring various remedies can lead to improved quality of life.

Take myo & d-chiro inositol! I get mine on amazon. It completely changed my cycle. All of the PCOS girlies I know swear by it. For facial hair, everyone says electrolysis is the way to go because it kills the hair follicle better than laser hair removal.
