Babygirl is looking and growing great, counting down the days until I get to meet her
Pregnancy is often filled with a mix of emotions, especially when it follows a loss. I completely relate to the feeling of eagerly counting down the days to finally meet your little one while navigating the ups and downs that come with it. One moment that stands out to me is when ultrasounds or NSTs (non-stress tests) don’t go as smoothly as hoped because the baby just doesn’t want to cooperate. It’s surprisingly common for babies to be active or shy during these times, making it challenging for medical staff to get clear images or readings. From personal experience, staying calm and patient during those moments helps immensely. I found that focusing on the bigger picture—that my baby is healthy and growing—brought peace despite the temporary frustrations. Sharing these experiences with other moms, especially those going through pregnancy after loss, strengthens the sense of community and support. It reminds us all that we are not alone on this journey, and each small step brings us closer to holding our precious babies in our arms. If you’re navigating a similar path, know that it’s okay to feel a wide range of emotions. Celebrate the little victories and don’t hesitate to lean on your support network. Every kick, every ultrasound, and every appointment is a milestone worth cherishing on your road to motherhood.
