After traveling together, we set out from Beppu, heading for the popular holiday city of Yufuin. 🚂 Classic journey: We took JR Kyushu's famous tourist train, Yufuin no Mori, a dark green retro-style exterior car, taking pictures of any corner of the alley, also meeting "Jiso," a stone statue wearing a red hat and apron, which the Japanese believe is a god who protects children and protects travelers safely. 🙏

When you get to Yoo Fu In Station, you'll find the first highlight...

🏔️ Ekimae-dori Road: A long road that leads our eyes straight to Mount Yufu, which towers behind it. It's a check-in point where anyone comes to stop taking pictures!

🍡 Yunotsubo Street: We stroll through the main shopping street that leads to the lake, along both sides of the road, full of souvenir shops, cute cafes and delicious dessert shops.

🦢 Kinrin Lake/Kinrin Lake: The destination of this road! A small lake that receives water from hot springs and cold water. (If coming in the morning, there will also be fog vapor floating over the water, but we have already come in the afternoon)

The origin of the name: "Kinrin," which means gold scales, comes from a Japanese philosopher who saw a fish jump above the water at sunset, and the scales reflected sunlight in glowing gold. ✨

Public Corner: Don't forget to take a picture with the stone torii of Tenso Shrine, which is immersed in water. Very beautiful and magical. People are waiting to take a lot of pictures.

🌾 Experience the Real Japanese Rural Way: On the way back, we would like to escape people from the main road to walk around the back of the city. We will meet the Oita River, a clear stream of red bushes along the way. This route will take us into the traditional agricultural zones and homes.

The city is located in a bonchi basin surrounded by high mountains in all directions. This environment preserves the abundance of underground water sources and hot springs. The atmosphere when walking in the reflection of the water against a mountainous backdrop is the most beautiful, so that it is like a real Japanese countryside. 🏡💚
