♨️ Kyushu 15-Day Trip - Day 3 (Part 2): Eat Architecture at Oita before returning to Beppu for a cool view! 🗼
Let's continue with Part 2! After a stroll through downtown Oita, we visit the beautiful architecture in the afternoon before taking the train back to see the sunset and keeping the night atmosphere at Beppu. 📸
📍 Coordinates 5: Remains of Funai Castle Ruins 🏯
A short walk from the previous point, you will find a long stretch of moats and stone walls. Today, this castle of Oita is just the remains of the walls and moats around the castle for us to see. The atmosphere is pleasant and classic.
📍 Coordinates 6: Oita Art Plaza 🏛️
On the opposite side of Funai Castle is a very eye-catching geometric nude concrete building. Originally, this place was the Provincial Library, but it is now designed as a gallery for contemporary art. The highlight is that the inside features your design and architectural models. Arata Isozaki, a world-class architect, is on display. Space and sketches are very interesting. Anyone who works in design or likes to see architectures should be able to enjoy the time. (The staff here is very good.)
📍 Coordinates 7: Kitahama Beppu Yacht Harbor (Beppu Kitahama Yacht Harbor) ⛵
In the evening, we returned to Beppu, stopped by for a walk in the wind at the downtown yacht landing, looking across the street to see the towering Mount Takasaki.
Featured Photo Spot: On the banks of the Tetrapod are lined with cold light, vanilla sky and the color of seawater. It's a composite that's already taken a picture. 🌅
📍 Coordinates 8: Full Dinner & Super Snacks 🍱
We went to the restaurant after the garden (secretly seen as a famous shop). We ordered a full set of tempura fries, delicious flavors, affordable prices, and a lot of snacks to eat almost! During the day, we packed the maintaiko and blueberry smoothies from 7-11. Fresh, super charged. 🥤
📍 Coordinates 9: Red Giant Photo Spot "Welcome to HELL!" 👹
Today's favorite spot! Oni's mascot among the copper pans is welcome to Beppu Hell, a popular photo spot that reflects the image of the city of hot springs that boiled until the ancients likened it to hell. Cute and disturbing. Well, come and pose for fun.
📍 Coordinates 10: Beppu Tower 🗼
At the end of the day, on the way back to the property and the city's classic iconic tower, built since 1957, the night turns on a distinctive pink ornamental light against a dark sky, very beautiful and unique.
