Hey everyone! I’m so excited to share my latest passion project with you all: diving deep into the world of AI art with Midjourney to reimagine some of my all-time favorite characters from Virtua Fighter! As a long-time fan of fighting games, Virtua Fighter has always held a special place in my heart. The unique martial arts styles, the distinct personalities, and the groundbreaking 3D graphics really set it apart. I’ve always wondered what these iconic fighters would look like through a new lens, and Midjourney has truly blown me away with its capabilities. For this series, I focused on bringing out the essence of each character. Imagine a muscular man with that classic spiky hair, ready for a fight in his torn martial arts gi, clenching his fist with an intense expression. Or a graceful woman in a vibrant floral kimono, her movements fluid and artistic. I even tried to capture the raw power of a wrestler wearing a distressed red and silver mask, those intense eyes burning through. And of course, the elegance of a woman with dark hair styled in two buns, performing a respectful greeting gesture in her blue cheongsam-style top. It’s been so much fun seeing these detailed visions come to life. Midjourney's ability to interpret prompts and generate such high-quality, stylized images is truly impressive. I experimented with different artistic styles to see how it would render a muscular man with long dreadlocks and red boxing gloves, or an elderly man with white hair and a beard, dressed in an ornate white and gold robe, extending his hand with a focused gaze. Each piece feels fresh yet instantly recognizable to any Virtua Fighter enthusiast. I even managed to get cool renditions of characters like the fierce woman with long blonde hair, dark skin, and red eyes, or the stern man with short blonde hair in his dark jacket. Sharing these creations has been a blast, especially on platforms like Twitter where the Virtua Fighter community is so active! It’s awesome to connect with fellow fans who appreciate both the game and the innovation of AI art. Seeing people react to these 'Noble Fighters' (as some might call them, المقاتل النبيل in Arabic) from a new perspective is incredibly rewarding. It shows how much love there still is for this classic series globally. If you're thinking about trying AI art yourself, especially for fan art, I highly recommend Midjourney. Start with clear descriptions, use strong adjectives, and don't be afraid to iterate!
