charlotte tilbury review 💋

Hii it's been a while 🫣

If you didn't know, I work at a salon at Ulta Beauty, and that job comes with a few perks that I never even expected... like being gifted some free makeup and skincare to celebrate the Charlotte Tilbury brand coming to Ulta! Soo I wanted to talk about the things I got here, in case any of y'all were interested what they have to offer 🤭

✨ Charlotte's Magic Cream Moisturizer

Price: $65-260

Rating: 9.5/10

This is the one product that I have to beg myself not to get attached to 😭 but this is actually a really nice moisturizer. I usually struggle with dryness and it's been a JOURNEY to find a product that actually moisturizes my skin, especially since I live in a dry climate. Although this?? This gets the job done and helped with issues I didn't even know I had 💀 I didn't know I had redness around my eye area until I put this on and realized it was gone??? Actually insane... It loses half a point because it's quite literally so out of my budget it hurts... it mentally and spiritually hurts me to scoop it up and know it works SO WELL. If anyone knows a dupe to this I will appreciate you forever thank youu 🥹

✨Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray

Price: $38-51

Rating: 6.5/10

I don't entirely know how to feel about this one because I don't really use setting sprays in the first place (I know I should, I just don't own one 😭). It works, it holds up my makeup well even during longer work days, but it makes my under eye area feel so dry?? Not necessarily flaky, but it just feels noticeably tight and uncomfortable. It works, but I think it'd be a much better option for someone with oily skin rather than my dry/combo skin 🥲

✨ Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillowtalk

Price: $35-38

Rating: 8/10

I feel like a broken record but... y'know... dry skin... having a matte lipstick isn't really something I actively look for 😭 Although I will say that this is one of the better matte lipsticks I've tried. It applies very smoothly, and I was actually surprised about how good it looked on my complexion? I'm REALLY pale with cool undertones, so my biggest worry was with it looking too warm on me, but it's actually a nice nude lip that's versatile enough for all skin undertones. I still think it'd look better on warmer/neutral tones but it's not like I can change that about myself 😭 It does reveal every crack in my lips though, but that problem can be solved by putting a gloss on top.

Although, if you like the shade but don't want it as a matte, I realized that I own a dupe of the Pillowtalk shade but in a glossy form?? Glossier's Ultralip in the shade Pony, I'm actually surprised that I never noticed nor heard about this beforehand. So hey, if you like the color but don't like matte lipsticks, or you just want it for a fraction of the price, then Pony might just work for you!

✨ Charlotte Tilbury x Ulta Pouch

From what I can find the pouch isn't on sale, so I won't give it a rating just because it's more like a bonus rather than a product someone can actually get. It's a cute bag though! It also has the CT emblem on the zipper, which I thought was a cute detail. I don't fully know what it's supposed to be, but my guesses are either a crossbody pouch or a fannypack. The strap is adjustable so maybe both? Either way it's cute, I'm gonna use it as a makeup bag :)

✨Overall Rating: 8/10

I'm content with everything I received for the promotion. Would I have personally bought any of these for myself? Wholeheartedly, no. Would I repurchase any of these items for myself? Maybe, but that maybe only applies to the Magic Cream Moisturizer. The setting spray and the lipstick aren't really suitable for my skin type, but that moisturizer carries. Although, this makes me more curious about the other products CT carries, so I might check out a few more things? Or just play around with the testers when I'm not at work LMAO but it's really nice! If you have oilier skin, then I think the makeup products would work better on you. I can see why people talk fondly of this brand! Have a good day y'all, thanks for reading 🫶

... Read moreStepping into the world of Charlotte Tilbury is like entering a realm of pure glamour, and as someone who gets to experience these products up close, I'm excited to share even more about what makes this brand so captivating! First off, let’s talk about the sheer artistry of Charlotte Tilbury's packaging. Those 'rose gold packaging' details aren't just for show; they're an integral part of the luxury experience. Every item, from the 'Magic Cream jar with its gold lid' to the sleek lipstick bullets, feels incredibly chic and Instagram-worthy. I’ve seen countless 'Charlotte Tilbury makeup products flatlays' online, and honestly, creating one with these beautiful pieces is a joy. It’s not just makeup; it’s a statement piece on your vanity, and that visual appeal definitely contributes to the overall 'magic' of the brand. Now, about the *Magic Cream*. Oh, the Magic Cream! It's not just a moisturizer; it's a phenomenon. Even beyond my personal experience with it, I've heard so much buzz. People swear by it for its instant plumping and illuminating effects. To really make the most of it, I’ve found that warming a tiny amount between your fingertips before gently pressing it into your skin helps it absorb beautifully. It creates such a smooth canvas, making it a dream to apply makeup over. While the price point is definitely a splurge, its reputation as a skincare hero that delivers visible results for a radiant glow is well-earned. The elegant 'gold lid' on the jar truly signifies the premium product within. The 'Airbrush Flawless' line is another jewel in Charlotte Tilbury's crown. While my review was specifically for the 'Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray,' it's worth noting the entire collection, including the foundation, is designed to give that perfected, blurring effect. If you're someone with dry or combination skin, like me, and find the setting spray a bit too mattifying, I’ve found that using a hydrating primer beforehand can make a huge difference. Or, try a light spritz applied from a greater distance to avoid concentrating the product too much. The 'rose gold cap' on the bottle is a consistent touch that elevates even a functional item like a setting spray. And then there’s *Pillowtalk*. This lipstick shade has achieved legendary status for a reason. It's often hailed as 'the perfect nude' because it genuinely seems to complement such a wide range of skin tones and undertones. It's more than just a color; it’s an empowering shade that makes you feel instantly put-together. For those who love the shade but aren't keen on matte finishes, exploring the other Pillowtalk formulations – like the Hyaluronic Happikiss Balm or the Superstar Lips Gloss – can offer the same iconic color with a different texture. The continuous innovation around this shade, sometimes even expanding into limited edition 'queen' collections, just shows how much people adore it. Overall, Charlotte Tilbury as a brand consistently delivers on its promise of 'makeup magic.' From the luxurious 'rose gold packaging' that graces every 'Charlotte Tilbury makeup product flatlay' to the high-performance formulas, it’s clear why it has such a devoted following. It's a brand that makes you feel special, and that's a powerful thing in beauty.
