my fav skincare 🧴

hii 👋 time for your daily read of me yapping about MORE products because i literally have an obsession 😭 y'know what it's fine it's all good... but this time it's some of my favorite skincare lines! i've experimented with a lot of skincare throughout my life (probably since i was like 9? dawg i got acne EARLY), so i'd really consider these my favorites after an unnecessarily long amount of experience for my age 💀

🎀 cocokind

GIRLL this brand is my guilty pleasure; like no matter how many different products i try, i always crawl back to her. the oil-to-milk cleanser? DIVINE!! the rosewater toner? soothing and smells INCREDIBLE!! their serums and moisturizers have always left my skin feeling rejuvenated. plus, the greatest part, it's sensitive skin friendly!! majority of my skincare staples are cocokind, and they're some of my favorites to use! if you have sensitive or just overall difficult skin to work with, i'd highly recommend giving cocokind a shot :)

🎀 tonymoly

ohh korean brands my beloved... i'm definitely in agreement to those who believe that asian skincare has the upper hand, and tonymoly is one of those brands that has always worked well for me. their green tea masks are some of the best products to soothe my skin after a long day. their rice exfoliating cleanser has also always left my skin feeling really smooth and fresh! plus, i love all of their lip balms and masks, super hydrating and fantastic smell at the same time! i love the versatility within ingredients, and to me they're one of those brands that i will always have faith in. :)

🎀 the ordinary

simple ingredients? check. clearly established goals? check. some of the greatest results i've seen with a brand? CHECK. i've been building up my collection, and i've been surprised at how happy i am with these products. their aha/bha peeling solution literally managed to clean out all of my clogged pores with EASE! their newest milky toner has also left my skin feeling so refreshed and my pores have never looked smaller??? and i LOVE the hyaluronic acid serum, it's a great glossier super bounce dupe as well 👀 i feel like this is one of the brands that take advantage of their minimalist appearance and makes a near maximum impact. i've been super impressed with everything i've tried and they keep me excited to try more!!

andd that's all folks! i feel like this is on-brand of me now but if you chose to read all of this i hope both sides of your pillow are cold 🫶 thanks for reading with me and i hope you have a lovely rest of your day!

... Read moreOkay, so we've talked about my absolute ride-or-die skincare brands that have truly made a difference for my skin. But let's dive a bit deeper into why these brands resonate so much and how they seemingly just get what our skin needs, especially when it comes to those essential steps like cleansing and moisturizing. First, Cocokind. What truly makes them stand out for me is their dedication to conscious, clean formulations. As someone with sensitive skin, finding products that don't cause irritation is a constant struggle. Cocokind feels like they've really listened to people like me who need that extra gentle care. Their oil-to-milk cleanser, for instance, isn't just a cleanser; it's a gentle cleanse experience that respects your skin's natural barrier. Many brands promise this, but Cocokind delivers, offering genuine *HYDRATION + BARRIER SUPPORT*. They focus on ingredients that are beneficial *for all skin types*, but especially those of us prone to redness or reactivity. It feels like they’re constantly adapting their offerings to meet the demand for effective yet non-irritating solutions. Then there's Tonymoly, my beloved Korean beauty representative. Korean skincare is often lauded for its innovative approach and use of natural ingredients, and Tonymoly exemplifies this. Their green tea masks aren't just a treat; they're a testament to how well they understand the need for soothing, calming ingredients after a long day. Similarly, their rice exfoliating cleanser leaves my skin feeling incredibly smooth without stripping it, which is crucial for maintaining a healthy complexion. They truly seem to listen to a wider customer base that desires both efficacious results and a delightful, sensory experience with their skincare. The versatility in their ingredients, from fruit extracts to traditional botanicals, shows their commitment to adapting and providing a wide range of solutions. And finally, The Ordinary. This brand completely changed the game by offering simple, effective, and incredibly affordable solutions. Their philosophy feels like a direct response to consumers who felt overwhelmed by marketing jargon and high price tags. They strip it down to the essentials, making it clear what each product does for your skin. For example, their AHA/BHA peeling solution effectively tackles clogged pores, and their hyaluronic acid serum provides essential hydration – addressing common skin concerns with straightforward, science-backed ingredients. This transparency and focus on specific, targeted treatments demonstrate a brand that truly listens to the demand for clarity and measurable results. They've adapted the entire industry by proving that quality skincare doesn't have to break the bank. Integrating these brands into a universal daily routine has been a game-changer for me. No matter what your skin type, a good cleanser, a hydrating serum, and a quality moisturizer are non-negotiable. And let's not forget the crucial step of sun protection! While these brands offer fantastic core products for cleansing and hydration, remember to always PROTECT WITH SPF as the final step in your morning routine. It's the ultimate act of listening to your skin's long-term needs. These brands, in their unique ways, have consistently delivered on customer needs, proving that effective skincare can be accessible, gentle, and highly personalized.
