Exaggeration is key! Think large, expressive eyes – much like the large dark eyes on my latest anime-style character. These immediately draw you in and convey a sense of innocence and wonder. Pairing them with a small mouth and a touch of pink blush on the cheeks instantly adds that sweet, endearing quality. Rounder shapes also tend to read as cuter, so I try to keep lines soft and flowing rather than sharp and angular. For this piece, I really enjoyed playing with the anime-style character design. Adding playful elements like cat ears and unique hair colors, like the teal hair I chose, makes the character stand out and gives her a distinctive charm. It's all about letting your imagination run wild and not being afraid to experiment with fantasy elements. Seeing a pink heart speech bubble in the background also adds to the overall theme of cuteness and warmth, don't you think?
