My favvvv meal prep breakfast!! I make this the night before I know I’ll have a busy morning and it always keeps me full!

•1/2 cup old fashioned oats

•1 tbsp chia seeds

•8oz almond milk mixed with protein powder of choice

•splash of vanilla & cinnamon

•toppings of choice (I normally do a spoonful of full fat Greek yogurt, berries, and almond butter)

The night before mix your protein shake, oats, chia seeds, vanilla, & cinnamon in your prep container and just stick it in the fridge while you sleep.

When you’re ready for breakfast take it out, top with toppings, and eat!!

... Read moreYou know how much I love my overnight oats, and honestly, they're not just delicious, they're a powerhouse for your health journey, especially if you're looking for something that supports weight loss. This easy meal prep has become a staple in my routine, and I can't wait to share more about why it's so amazing! The secret weapon here is the combination of chia seeds and old-fashioned oats. Chia seeds are tiny but mighty! When soaked, they absorb liquid and form a gel-like consistency, which helps you feel fuller for longer. This 'creamy mixture' isn't just tasty; it's also slowing down digestion, preventing those mid-morning hunger pangs. Plus, they’re loaded with soluble fiber, which is fantastic for gut health and can even help manage blood sugar levels – a big win for sustainable weight management. And let's not forget the protein! Adding a scoop of protein powder, like I do, turns this simple breakfast into a muscle-supporting, energy-boosting meal. It’s what truly keeps me satisfied until lunch, preventing me from reaching for unhealthy snacks. That's why this healthy overnight oats recipe for weight loss is so effective – it combines satiety with essential nutrients. While my basic recipe is a gem, the beauty of overnight oats is how easily you can customize them. For that extra 'creamy' factor, you can play around with the liquid. Almond milk is my go-to, but coconut milk or even a mix of milk and Greek yogurt can make it even richer. And speaking of Greek yogurt, a spoonful on top adds more protein and a lovely tang! I've seen some amazing variations out there! If you're into boosting your gut health even further, try swapping out some of your almond milk for a cultured dairy drink like Yakult. The probiotics can give your digestive system an extra kick, and it adds a unique, tangy flavor to your 'chia seeds and oats' combo. Just make sure to mix it in well the night before for the best results. And the toppings! Don't skip them. Berries add antioxidants and natural sweetness, almond butter brings healthy fats and more satiety. I also love to add cinnamon, not just for flavor, but it's known for its blood sugar regulating properties. Sometimes I’ll throw in a sprinkle of flax seeds or hemp hearts for even more omega-3s and fiber. You can really get creative and make a beautiful 'close up' worthy creation in your 'clear glass container' every morning! For the perfect 'chia seeds soaked in water gel close up spoon' texture, ensure your oats and chia seeds are fully submerged in liquid. If it seems too thick in the morning, just add a splash more milk until it reaches your desired consistency. It’s all about finding what you love! This recipe truly makes busy mornings so much easier and healthier, making it my ultimate healthy meal prep breakfast solution.
