missing my mom (gone back never forgotten)
My Queen received her wings way too soon, but I know God needed her more than me. 🫶🙏🙌🫶❤️
It's incredible how some days, particularly holidays like Mother's Day, amplify the ache of missing someone so deeply. For those of us whose 'Queens' have received their wings too soon, these days can feel heavy, even when we know they're in a better place. I often find myself looking up, wishing, just as the words on that poignant t-shirt say, 'I wish I could CLIMB UP TO HEAVEN to give MY MOM A BIG Hug and tell her I LOVE AND MISS HER'. It’s a universal longing, isn’t it? That desperate wish for just one more embrace, one more conversation, one more laugh. My mom was, and still is, my guiding star. Even though she's gone, her lessons, her love, and her spirit are so ingrained in me that I truly feel like I 'never miss' her presence in my heart. She taught me so much, and those memories are treasures I hold dear. On Mother's Day, instead of letting sadness completely overwhelm me, I try to find ways to celebrate her enduring legacy. Sometimes it’s looking through old photo albums, remembering funny stories, or cooking a dish she loved. Other times, it's simply talking to her out loud, sharing my day, knowing she's listening from wherever she is. The void a mother leaves is immense, and grief is a journey, not a destination. There are days when the tears flow freely, and days when her memory brings a gentle smile to my face. This year, I'm wearing a piece of jewelry she gave me, feeling her close. It’s a small gesture, but it helps me feel connected. For anyone out there missing their mum on Mother's Day, please know you're not alone. It's okay to feel whatever you feel – the sadness, the love, the gratitude. Allow yourself to honor her memory in a way that feels right to you. Perhaps light a candle, visit a special place, or share a story about her with a loved one. These acts help keep their spirit alive and remind us that love truly never dies. It’s a comfort to know that even though we can't physically deliver that 'BIG Hug' to heaven, the love we carry for them transcends all boundaries. Our moms are with us, always, in every beat of our hearts and every cherished memory. Sending love and strength to all who are navigating this bittersweet day.

I like this t-shirt, because it says exactly what I feel,,, I think I will get a shirt made!
