Get to know me as I figure out Lemon8!

Hello Lemon8ies!

💜My name is Ver’Nita, but I go by Vee.

💜I’m 33 years old.

💜I’m a Leo ♌️

💜I’m from Washington D.C. / Prince George’s County MD

💜Currently calling Charlotte my home.

💜I’m an alumna of THEE Towson University 🖤💛🐯, and and an alumna of Liberty University 💙❤️

💜I work in Child Protective Services, more specifically our Special Victims Unit *cues Law & Order theme song*.

💜I’m the mother of a beautiful, amazing, most charming “land seal” 🦭… a.k.a fur beast (b.k.a. my dog, Tinka 😅)

💜I’ve had bariatric surgery in 2021 (gastric bypass or roux-en-y, or #RNY)

💜I’m a self-proclaimed advocate for mental health awareness, as I too experience my own personal challenges.

💜Believe it or not, but I suffer from attention deficit disorder (now categorized under ADHD), anxiety (real bad 😖) and major depression.

💜Some days I can go non-stop on cloud 9. Then there’s others where I can barely keep my eyes open, concentrate or be in the same space as other people so I result to isolating.

💜I’m learning each and every day to become a better version of myself in order to develop a soft life that I deserve, and develop a better headspace to be of help for the community that I serve.

💜I plan to utilize the #Lemon8 platform to share my experiences, tips, life journey and learn from others.

💜If you’re in #CharlotteNC or surrounding areas, say hi! Let’s be friends!

On platforms like Lemon8, it's essential to create an authentic and engaging presence that resonates with your audience. As I introduce my journey, I prioritize mental health awareness — a topic that affects many of us. With the rise of social media, users seek relatable stories that inspire them to be vulnerable and open about their own struggles. In my case, I've faced challenges such as ADHD, anxiety, and depression. By sharing these experiences, I aim to foster a community of understanding, encouraging others to embrace their true selves. Whether you are a dog mom like me with a lovable fur beast or navigating your mental health journey, finding connection and support is vital. In addition to mental health, I plan to discuss bariatric surgery and its impact on my life after undergoing gastric bypass. By sharing my personal insights, tips, and ongoing learning, I hope to educate and provide comfort to those considering similar paths. As I embrace this journey on Lemon8, I invite you to join me, share your stories, and let’s cultivate a community where vulnerability is celebrated. Let's connect, support one another, and grow together into the best versions of ourselves!

Hey girl!! I can relate to this so much!! I’m 30, mom of 3 kiddos lol and a huge mental health advocate as well!! I have severe anxiety, panic disorder, bpd and ocd. 🥺 I actually get evaluated for adhd in September as well. I can totally relate to the flip flopping in energy levels and everything like that. It’s rough
