If you have ADD/ADHD & like to read, buy these!
I picked these up at my local Books A Million to start going through while I’m on hiatus from work, and these titles stood out to me. I’m all about the self-help section at bookstores and nothing empowers me more than wanting to better empower myself as a person. These are just a dent in my new collection! I’m hoping to increase my knowledge of Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD), learn why I function the way that I do, learn how to live a productive life with my diagnosis and develop a unique & efficient daily routine that works for me. I plan to give my review after I’ve read majority of each book! Happy reading! #readingselfcare #therapybooks #mentalhealthandbooks #adhdsolutions #embracevulnerability #adhdhacks #blackgirllemon8 #bookwormsoflemon8 #booksummary #lemon8challenge #summerreading Books-A-Million
If you're living with ADD/ADHD and enjoy reading, choosing the right books can be pivotal. Titles like 'You Mean I'm Not Lazy, Stupid or Crazy?!' by Kate Kelly and Peggy Ramundo address common misconceptions and provide insightful perspectives. Then there's 'Dirty Laundry' by Richard Pink & Roxanne Emery, which explores the societal stigmas faced by adults with ADHD while suggesting practical strategies for overcoming shame. Another impactful book is 'Self-Care for People with ADHD' by Sasha Hamdani, MD, which offers over 100 strategies for stress relief and prioritization—essential tools for navigating daily challenges. Furthermore, 'Organizing Solutions for People with ADHD' by Susan C. Pinsky provides tailored organizational tips, making life feel more manageable. Understanding ADHD is a journey, and these books can offer guidance and empowerment, helping you develop effective daily routines and a deeper understanding of your condition. Happy reading and take the next step towards an empowered life!
