Pregnant in College?

I found out I was pregnant with our daughter in May of 2023. We were both super excited but our plan had worked a little faster than planned. I still had one last semester of college to finish before I graduated. Technically only three classes to finish up, so right at the finish line!

One of the first things I did was in private let my professors know that I was pregnant.

My watercolor professor was very understanding. We also had an oil painting clsss going on at the same time. So I made a request to work in another room so I wouldn’t have to around the fumes during class.

My French professor was so excited and is talking about my daughter took up all of our French banter.

My Art Education professor was more worried about what I was going to do with my future. (She honestly became my biggest bully in my pregnancy. To her being a mother wasn’t good enough)

Telling my friends in class was also fun because everyone one was like “no way!” But that’s also the same result I got when I told them that I was turning 25.

I’m so sad that your experience was so negative. I was pregnant 3 times. Once in undergrad, once in the middle of grad school, and I graduated pregnant. Everyone was so supportive. I even took the babies to class so we could successfully breast feed.
