Pumpkin 🎃 To Carve or To Paint
One of my favorite things about the fall season other than the beautiful leaves changing and falling. I love when pumpkins start popping up all over the neighborhood! Our one neighbor has ten pumpkins and I love it so much! Although I feel like one of the biggest questions I’m left with is…
Should I carve my Pumpkin? 🎃
I love the spooky faces you can carve into the pumpkins. It’s also good fun to look at them when they are glowing at night. It does take a bit of time to cut into the pumpkin. I’m giving that job to my fiancé and he seems pretty excited to help! My only draw back about craving a pumpkin is that they go bad so quickly. It so sad to see your once spooky face all wilted.
Should I paint my Pumpkin? 🎃
I personally think painting your pumpkin is best if you want to keep your pumpkin inside. I personally am not trying to seal anything that I paint on my pumpkin and I know the rain/temperature changes will ruin whatever I decide to paint on it. I like this if you’re doing it with young children because you don’t have to cut anything.
Do you have any plans for your pumpkin?

As Halloween approaches, many people are excited to decide how to decorate their pumpkins. Carving a pumpkin can create stunning, illuminated designs, bringing a spooky glow to your porch at night. However, one major drawback is the limited lifespan of carved pumpkins; they tend to spoil quickly, leaving you with wilting decorations. On the other hand, painting pumpkins is an excellent alternative, particularly for keeping them indoors. Not only is it a safer option for children, but painted designs can be tailored to suit your home décor or Halloween theme without the mess of carving. Additionally, painted pumpkins are more durable against weather changes, making them last longer through the season. If you're hosting a family event or party, think about combining both methods. Kids can paint their pumpkins while adults can showcase their carving skills. In addition, consider organizing a pumpkin decorating contest to engage friends and family. Make the most out of your pumpkin decorating this Halloween by mixing creativity with practicality! Do both. Paint and carve your pumpkins. On the other hand, I always wonder what people do with the painted pumpkins after Halloween. What are you planning to do with your pumpkins after Halloween?
