✨ DRY SKIN SKINCARE ✨ GLOWY & HYDRATED SKIN ✨

I have put a lot of time and effort into trying out different skin care products and these are what I have found to work the best for me!

Please note: I have EXTREMELY dry and sensitive skin, visible cracking and peeling if I don’t apply moisturizer and it gets easily irritated. I do not have eczema though.

Step 1: Face Wash (not pictured)

This is a given I feel like. You should ALWAYS start out by washing your face AM and PM. The face wash you use depends on your preference. I use the La Roche Posay face wash for dry skin AM and PM. In the evenings I do double cleanse if I’m wearing makeup and I’m currently using the BYOMA milky oil cleanser as my first cleanser to remove the makeup.

Step 2: Facial Mist

Use AM and PM, even throughout the day for a pick me up. I’ve tried a few, I prefer the BYOMA one because it’s on the cheaper side but still has great benefits. Helps aide in inflammation and redness

Step 3: Toner

I switch between 4 different toners depending on AM/PM and what my skin needs at the time. I DO NOT use glycolic acid in the AM, PM ONLY! If I am breaking out I will use the Peach Slices snail rescue blemish toner, if not I use the BYOMA hydrating milky toner. In the evenings I use the glycolic acid toner every other night. I have the Good Molecules and The Ordinary glycolic acid toners. Both are great, I just find Good Molecules to be a bit more gentle on the skin than The Ordinary so I opt for the Good Molecules more often. If my skin is extremely rough and dry I will opt for The Ordinary.

Step 4: Serums

I use 4 serums every AM and PM. To help with hyperpigmentation, discoloration, acne scaring and dark spots I use the Good Molecules discoloration correcting serum. To help with hydration I use the Good Molecules hyaluronic acid serum, I spray my face again with the facial mist before applying this to give it something to stick to. Hyaluronic acid is most effective with applied to a damp face so it can draw that moisture in! I follow that up with the CosRX snail mucin. I personally love this product and have been using it since 2018 and have noticed a huge difference in my skin since. Lastly, I use the Glow Recipe dew drops. The niacinamide in these help aide in extra hydration, bringing plumpness to the skin and help with brightening the skin.

Step 5: Eye Cream

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Kiehl’s avocado eye cream! I know it is on the pricey side but it is 1000% worth it! My undereyes have never been more hydrated, smoother and brightened. This works so well and I will forever repurchase it. I use it daily, AM and PM and the TRAVEL SIZE has lasted me over 6 months with more still in the jar!!

Step 6: Moisturizer

I double moisturize both AM and PM, again because my skin is that dry. I start with the BYOMA barrier+ repair treatment, always. This product has helped so much with my skin barrier and since adding it to my routine about 4 months ago, I have noticed a lot less peeling and cracking skin. For my second moisturizer, I use the La Roche Posay double repair with SPF in the morning ONLY and always. Cannot forgot your SPF but do not wear it to bed as it can lead to acne. In the PM I use the La Roche Posay double repair if my skin is extra dry that day. If my skin is pretty good that day I will use the Neutrogena hydro boost water cream since it’s super lightweight but still very hydrating.

Step 7: Lips

I always apply some type of lippie at the end of my skincare routine, can’t have crusty lips. I opt for a lip mask at night. Right now I’m using the Laneige but I also really like the Elf and Fenty ones too. During the day I will typically use a lip balm, just something to add hydration to my lips in the morning and throughout the day. Some of my faves are pictured!

Moisturizers should focus on strengthening the skin's barrier, reducing cracking and flakiness. In the morning, use a moisturizer with SPF to protect your skin from UV damage and avoid potential acne from nighttime moisturizers containing blocking agents. Lastly, lip care often gets neglected. A hydrating lip mask overnight can ensure soft, smooth lips overnight. With these tailored skincare tips, you can help maintain glowy, hydrated skin even with the most sensitive and dry skin types.
