Looking back on a year like this reminds me how much personal growth can happen when we push ourselves beyond our usual limits. For instance, trying fifteen new books across diverse genres not only expanded my horizons but also reignited my passion for reading—a habit that I’m excited to nurture further. One of the most memorable moments was attending a brat-themed birthday party, something quirky and fun that brought out my playful side. Getting to meet someone like Nessa Barrett was a highlight too; seeing a live concert after over a year felt like reclaiming a part of my social life that had been dormant. The year wasn’t just about events but also self-care and creativity. Learning to do my own nails and exploring new makeup styles gave me a refreshing boost of confidence and offered a creative outlet I hadn’t tapped into for years. It’s amazing how small self-care rituals can really change how you feel each day. Family and heritage also took a more prominent place in my year. Discovering more about my Choctaw heritage added depth to my identity and gave me a stronger sense of roots and belonging. Experiences like cat sitting multiple times or attending a first baby shower broadened my connection to those around me, making ordinary moments feel special. Reflecting on all these experiences, I wouldn’t choose to relive the struggles, but I wouldn’t change a thing because they led me to where I am today. This kind of reflection encourages me to keep embracing new challenges and cherishing the everyday joys. It’s remarkable how much can unfold in just one year when you remain open to growth and new experiences.
