Lets be friends | The 5 pillars of who I am

Hello everyone, my name is Jimmy/James!

I have decided to try something new and introduce myself for the first time on this app. I’m a bit private online, so I gave some photos a Studio Ghibli makeover for this post (if you want some unfiltered, amateur running vlogs, my TikTok is in my bio!).

Just here to document my hobbies and connect with like-minded mutuals. Here are the 5 pillars of who I am:

💻 The Tech Grind: I'm an aspiring AI tech worker. I spend a lot of time exploring machine learning and figuring out how things work behind the scenes. If I could, I would always combine those ethics with seeing a need and filling that need.

🏃‍♂️ Hitting the Pavement: Running is my therapy. I log kilometers regularly throughout the week, maybe some early weekend mornings, provided I can actually wake up! 🌅

🍜 Food & Fuel: Sponsored by caffeine and a bowl of ramen because they are my main comfort food, but I'm open to trying something new.

🍿 Pop Culture: I am a massive fan of music, TV shows, films, and some anime. I do sometimes have a tendency to reference these throughout my life because I like to find something relatable if I could.

📸 Wanderlust: I love casual street/nature photography and traveling, especially capturing pictures of wildlife animals for example, and the views when traveling across Japan.

If we share any of the same interests, drop a comment and say hi! Always open to making new friends and meeting new people. 👋

"When everything is made to be broken, I just want you to know who I am."

... Read moreAs someone who also enjoys blending technology with creative hobbies, I truly resonate with Jimmy's 'five pillars' approach to self-expression. Diving into AI and machine learning can feel overwhelming for beginners but sharing progress and discoveries—as Jimmy does—makes the journey exciting and accessible. Running as therapy is another aspect I connect with deeply. Logging kilometers early in the morning when the world is quiet often provides mental clarity and energy for the whole day. It’s inspiring to see how Jimmy uses his runs not just for fitness but as an emotional outlet, which is a powerful reminder that physical activity nourishes both body and mind. Jimmy’s love for ramen and caffeine is something many can relate to. I’ve found exploring local ramen spots and pairing those comforting bowls with a fresh cup of coffee is a small ritual that adds joy and warmth, especially after a long day. His passion for pop culture, especially anime and movies, often helps find relatable moments that connect us to others. Referencing beloved shows and music can transform simple conversations into shared experiences and lifelong bonds. The wanderlust and photography mention truly stood out. Capturing the serene and structured beauty of countries like Japan in casual street and nature shots reflects a mindful appreciation for the world around us. It reminds me how photography encourages slowing down and noticing the details we might otherwise miss. Integrating all these interests under one authentic self—like Jimmy’s pillars—can inspire anyone to embrace their unique blend of passions. If you also enjoy learning tech, running, savoring good food, immersing yourself in culture, or traveling with a camera in hand, joining communities where these interests intersect can be fulfilling and fun. Overall, sharing our stories, like Jimmy does with a fresh, Ghibli-inspired twist on photos and honest reflections, encourages us to connect on a deeper level. Whether you're a techie, a runner, or just someone looking to find your tribe, this blend of personal insight and vibrant hobbies underscores the beauty of diverse passions coming together.

… and why our couples love it!
The grand pillars, high ceilings, and soft natural light give you that European, old-museum energy but still clean and timeless. It photographs beautifully because of the symmetry and neutral tones. Nothing feels too busy, which means the focus stays on the two of you. There’s also a nice mix

My Wedding Venue (More Cons Than Pros😭)
Finally revealing my wedding venue! I’ve never wanted to get married in a ballroom because I don’t believe in spending thousands decorating a ‘plain room’ with chandeliers and windows. My dream was always to have a sunset wedding in Bali or a wedding in a vineyard in Aussie. Somewhere with nature.
