Vicky is so icky
Hey everyone! I'm so thrilled to finally introduce you to my Hazbin Hotel Original Character, Vicky! I've poured so much love (and a little bit of chaos) into creating her, and I can't wait for you all to get to know her better. You might be wondering about her nickname, 'Vicky is so icky' – well, there's a story behind that! It’s not that she's literally gross, but more about her morally 'grey' areas and some of her less-than-charming habits that she just can't seem to shake. In the world of Hazbin, where everyone has their flaws, Vicky fits right in with her own unique brand of mischief and questionable decisions. She's got a wicked sense of humor that often borders on inappropriate, and she absolutely thrives on chaos, which, let's be honest, makes her right at home in Hell. When I started brainstorming for a Hazbin Hotel OC, I knew I wanted someone who felt authentic to the show's dark humor and vibrant aesthetic. I spent ages thinking about what kind of sinner would make an interesting addition to Hell's chaotic population. My goal was to create someone who could interact with the existing cast in fun and unexpected ways, without just being a carbon copy of another character. That’s where the idea of 'Human Victoria' came into play. I imagined her life before Hell, what kind of person she was, and what led her down the path to damnation. This pre-Hell existence as a human Victoria really shaped her demonic form and her current personality, giving her a grounded yet twisted foundation. Vicky isn't your typical villain or hero; she's somewhere in between, constantly navigating the bizarre social structures of Hell. She’s got a sharp tongue and a knack for getting into trouble, often finding herself in hilarious (and sometimes dangerous) predicaments. Her 'ickiness' comes from her tendency to prioritize her own desires, even if it means bending the rules a little (or a lot!). She’s fiercely independent, sometimes to her detriment, and has a surprising soft spot for underdogs, even if she'd never admit it. This complicated mix of self-interest and unexpected empathy is what makes her so compelling to me. Designing Vicky was also a huge part of the fun. I tried to incorporate elements that reflect her human past and her current demonic nature, making sure she visually stood out but still felt like she belonged in the Hazbin Hotel universe. From her color palette to her signature accessories, every detail tells a part of her story. I particularly enjoyed thinking about how her 'human Victoria' traits might manifest in her demonic appearance – perhaps a slight quirk in her posture or a specific item she carries. I love seeing how other fans create their OCs for shows they love, and the Hazbin Hotel fandom is just bursting with creativity, so I felt really inspired to share my own contribution. What do you guys think of Vicky so far? Does her 'icky' personality pique your interest? Do you have any Hazbin Hotel OCs of your own? I'd love to hear about them and what inspired you! Creating OCs is such a fantastic way to engage with a fandom, and I'm always looking for new ideas and discussions. Let me know in the comments if you want to hear more about Vicky's specific powers, her relationships with other characters, or even more about her human life as Victoria before she landed in Hell! Your thoughts and feedback are always welcome!
