Easter Lunch
Ribs, potato salad, deviled eggs, and a Lumpia Shanghai. There was also a lot of other delicious Filipino dishes, and of course desserts. Rice crispy treats, fruit pebbles treats, Biko, and fresh fruit. For appetizers we had meats and cheeses, tomatoes, black olives, crackers, balsamic vinegar, pizza crackers. It was very delicious and I ate so much food lol. It was so worth it though. #lemon8challenge #lemon8badgehunt
Easter lunch is a wonderful occasion to gather with family and friends while enjoying a variety of delicious dishes. From my experience, combining traditional American favorites like ribs and potato salad with unique Filipino treats such as Lumpia Shanghai and Biko creates a festive and satisfying meal. I found that including diverse appetizers like meats, cheeses, tomatoes, black olives, and crackers with balsamic vinegar added a nice balance to the richness of the main dishes. One thing I learned is that having a variety of textures and flavors, such as crunchy fruit pebbles treats and soft desserts like rice crispy treats, keeps everyone intrigued and satisfied throughout the meal. Fresh fruit is also essential to lighten the palate after indulging in savory and sweet items. Serving a mix of homemade and store-bought treats makes preparation easier without compromising taste. A tip for hosting an Easter lunch is to plan a menu that features both familiar crowd-pleasers and unique cultural dishes. This approach encourages guests to try new flavors while feeling comfortable with classic options. Plus, it sparks great conversations about food traditions and personal favorites. Overall, an Easter lunch full of diverse, delicious foods is a beautiful way to celebrate the holiday and create memorable moments with loved ones.
