More Easter Food

I made a post a few days ago, of the food we ate for Easter lunch, and here is another picture. This one is featuring a deviled egg (one of my favorites), tomatoes, fresh mozzarella cheese, black olives, salami, fresh cantaloupe, and two fruity pebbles rice crispy treats. One of the rice crispy treats is shaped like a bunny, and the other one is a square with a nest of eggs (the eggs were peanut butter M&Ms). There were also chicks, and carrots. The carrots were regular rice crispy treats. #lemon8challenge #lemon8badgehunt

From my experience, deviled eggs are always a hit, especially when paired with fresh veggies like juicy tomatoes and crisp black olives. Adding a variety of textures with soft mozzarella cheese and savory salami helps create a balanced and inviting platter. One fun way to make Easter lunch extra special is by incorporating themed desserts that delight both kids and adults. For instance, rice crispy treats shaped like bunnies or decorated with peanut butter M&M eggs not only look charming but add a sweet touch that everyone enjoys. These treats are relatively easy to make at home and offer a customizable option for different tastes and dietary needs. Including fresh fruit like cantaloupe adds a refreshing contrast to the savory items and helps round out the meal nutritionally. I like to add small carrots made from rice crispy treats to provide a surprise texture and maintain the theme of Easter’s spring harvest colors. These little creative touches can make the meal feel festive and thoughtful. If you’re planning your Easter lunch, consider mixing a variety of simple homemade and store-bought foods to achieve a colorful and satisfying table. Keep in mind the balance between flavors and textures: creamy, crunchy, savory, and sweet all working together. And don’t forget to add some playful decorations or small themed foods to spark conversation and enjoyment among your guests.
